Mozilla askes for it. I would like to retain Firefox as my default browser, even in Linux. But it just crashes and I have no choices but to switch to Brave or even Falkon.

The problem with Windows is trying to compete with MacOS and chasing the latest fads. In my experience, your typical Mac user is a so called "content creator" or an obnoxious prick who could care less about backward compatibility and will justify every decision that Apple makes while standing in line like a dog to lap up what Apple decides to dole out. Your typical Windows user is generally a budget conscious student, working professional or a business looking for a stable operating system that allows for backward compatibility, the possibility to swap out hardware and do repairs, the ability to do some decent gaming and most of all, offer value for money. Also, in older times, when hardware was not as capable, tweaking Windows to get that extra 5% - 10% extra performance felt like a real achievement thus making WIndows extremely popular with power users. Sadly, towards the end of Windows 7 and with the introduction of telemetry, Ballmer's idiotic direction and the general confusion that prevailed, Windows got worse until Windows 10. What is unforgivable though is the direction that WIndows 11 has taken. It's like they haven't learned anything or understood who their customers really are over the last decade!! Windows 11 is simply malware and something needs to be done to get the interface back to how it was.

I think Google Chrome needs to be shut down. What's the point of using a browser if it's just going to spy on you illegally. And from my experience Google Chrome automatically turns off my ad blocker. Firefox never does that.

Have been using Firefox since about 2007. Never did and still do not see a reason to change to another browser. I'll keep using it for as long as possible. It baffles me that so few people use Firefox in 2024. It is a great browser, always has been.

the point is "only those companies are banned by US gov which design their custom component (so no business for US companies)". storage, ram , processor, i.e. majority of profit for US companies so no problem with lenovo. but huawei designs its own custom processor, own design, own software, also in telecom business eating cisco's market share. so Threat to US companies market share is a security threat.

Sounds like they could do a lot better if they weren't paying ridiculous sums of money to useless management... Though, I think the google search engine would have to be shut down entirely to stop being a monopoly. They'll be just as much of one as before.

If they need $4 per user per year to maintain their revenue without google, they should implement the advertising as planned, and offer a $20 per year Firefox Premium subscription for those who don’t want the advertising. Then they should gift me a lifetime subscription for coming up with the idea.

Mozilla Firefox went down when Mozilla kicked out the director who disapproved homosexuals. Then the homosexuals who are sick in head released Firefox version 29 with that new ugly chromified theme. It all went down because of major version race to compete with google chrome. By version numbers! How stupid! You cannot win by emulating a dumbed down spyware. You will alienate the power users who made a majority of Firefox users. Wokism killed Firefox Palemoon is somewhat good but the performance is noticeably worse than Firefox. And also Moonchild is stubborn and refuses to implement a DNS over HTTPS that makes huge difference in bypassing state censorship and surveillance.

Amen. I think it is true about this and their current browser logo looks ugly as hell, I wished they'd used their brand logo with a more sleeker look making them feel a lot like Opera GX without the gaming push.

Simple, “good” budget phones are rare, most of them are made by the cheapest material available and it’s not good, sometimes it even break after a few months of use. If let’s say, you buy phone that is priced at 200 usd and it only lasted a year, while your friend buy 800 usd phone and it’s still running smooth into it’s 4th year, it’s practically the same price per year and you get a better performance out of it. So people just bit their tongue, get the flagship, use it for like 4-5 years and then see if it’s worth changing.

12:00 My question is: Why do we need brighter screens? aren’t the ones we have now bright enough? If and when i turn my brightness on my phone or laptop to full brightness, it hurts my eyes. even in the daylight. it seems like an unnecessary amount of brightness that doesn’t really bring value to anything.
