My wife and I owned multiple ferrets since we dated . They are tons of work but worth it. Do NOT NEGLECT THEM!

You only experience the wonderment and beauty of these comical little creatures when you truly know everything you need to know of living life and beyond every single one of them. I've lived with seven with six the most at one time. The first rule! Ferret Proof refrigerators, baseboards, ductwork and furniture. The little dooking carnivores can also jump and climb. The fuzzybutt business here when in operation included; Weasie, Bandit, Pokie, Scubie, Munkie, Sparkie and Sweetie

The odor they make is absorbed by their bedding (not litter), so the more their bedding is changed, the less their odor remains.

On the tube thing, your better off with pvc guttering. Get several section of 3ft and a bunch of different joints. It's a little more involved to set up but cleaning is immensely easier than the flexy tubes. Because bathing ferrets too often is really bad for their skin, it's better to keep their environment and toy clean so bathing isn't needed as often.

"There's a lot of work that goes into carrots." FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT! Everybody loves those cute little orange baby carrots, but have you seen how BIG they can grow?!? Not to mention that they come in all colours, shapes & sizes. And the amount of "hair" can be enormous. A carrot is not just for Christmas people.

Thank you so much for this video I've only had ferrets for 4 days Ive got two males that was given to me by someone who had a daughter that was neglecting them so she was getting rid of them there just over a year and few months and I was worried that I would hurt them whilst clipping their nails this video helped a lot even without the salmon oil I did their nails not long after they woke up so that their less wriggly and the best part I got kisses after 🥰

I have tried and tried with our 2 yr old. He’s a brat and goes whenever, wherever he gets the urge! It’s someplace new every time! He’ll go 1 day of going on the training pads and getting treats. Then the next day he’ll forget everything we taught him 🙄. Worst part is he has now broken our 4 yr old female who was trained well. Now she’s not 😔. I’m at my wits end.

Cats definitely can eat fruits and vegetables better in moderation than ferrets even though they are obligate carnivores too

I would recommend any holes to proof them. I know that seems like something reasonable but me being forgetful I’m gonna have to remember the holes in the carpet my previous hamster made to get into the walls to cover them for when I get ferrets.

I owned a ferret once, and everything she said is true. I tried to get him (Frakker) on a raw diet, but since they imprint, I did find a grain free kibble and what we called a turkey Slurpee ( beach nut turkey baby food; made of turkey and broth only, and I would add Essential Fatty acids) he was healthy, and the most profound experience I have ever had as a pet owner. He got sick and as I live in Kansas, I would have to drive 2 hours to a vet that dealt with ferrets. hes been gone for four years, almost made it seven years, I finally just paid off his vet bill after 4 year, but I would do it again for him. I would love another ferret, but I realize I am too old to keep up(55) don't have the recourses or the finance, etc. He died in my arms.
