I just bought a Fluval 207 and found it to be cheaply made. The red colored lock handle for the double hook up broke as did the intake pipe strainer when putting it on. Is the Oase better made?

Great video. I have a 32 gallon tank, the Biocube 32. I want to get an Oase, but confused to either get the Oase Filtosmart 300, or the Oase Biomaster like you have. I like that with the Biomaster, I can just do weekly cleanings from the pre filter on the unit you're using. Help please!

I am seriously thinking about wrgb 2 pro and was confused between that or the s line by twinstar. Your video helped understand many things. I do have one question, the chihiros app and the bluetooth connectivity has many complaints, is that true?

I think the difference media optimisation can achieve is not in the initial flow of clean filters, but in preventing clogged up fine pre-filter foam, loose tiny matrix (or is it matrices!), and filter floss. Once these get a bit of dirt in them the already dismal flow of overpriced and underpowered filters barely outperform a dripping tap. Media optimisation may help prolong their mediocre performance between cleaning.

Great video! I performed the test on my Oase biomaster thermo 250. The pre-filter has 45ppi sponges (the blue one). Main filter has two trays with bio media (ceramic rings), 1 tray 20ppi sponge (blue one) and 1 tray with 30ppi sponge (orange one). The filter is rated for 900 LPH or 238 GPH. Hoses are bout 1,5 meters long. Pre-filter was cleaned a couple of days ago, main filter hasn't been cleaned yet (tank is running for 2 months now). From my test I got 544 LPH or 146 GPH, so about 60% of what the filter is rated. Edit: I just noticed that there also 10ppi pre-filters, these are also blue, but slightly darker blue.

In my experience having enough natural plants to consume the excess nutrients in the water and limiting the amount of light the tank gets will usually clear up the algae ( green water).

For the right setup that matte pipe set would look super dope but very niche compaired to glass wich would be universaly nice

I have Eheim and Fluval. Fluval is working since 10 years and Eheim is working 2 days more than Fluval. Till now none of my 7 Fluval ever had a problem and both of my Eheim have faced similar problems with Overflowing. Don't tell me u dont know how to use or Maintain FILTERS. Did you try setting the filter at a different height to the outflow? I suspect the manufacturer flow rate assumes the tank and filter are sitting side by side at the same height. Having the filter beneath the tank means it has to push the water to at least 1 metre height against gravity, which may have a slowing effect on the rate of flow.

Tried a Tidal based on another review - Geez, almost had to top the water off everyday on my 75, my Pothos drinks water. Quiet now with a AC110! And, now a clean Tidal 110 to unload! Great video!

No one comes close to Eheim Professional. I have an Eheim 2080 that hasn't been cleaned in 3 years and still flows like it was new. Also have an Eheim 2075 that hasn't been cleaned in 2 years, still flows like new😃

If you're cleaning your canister every 2-4 weeks just buy a hang on back filter, the whole point of a canister is; you don't want to clean it that often. If you open your canister and its fairly clean next time wait a bit longer, if you open it and it absolutely disgusting you left it to long. Every 2-4 weeks just isn't long enough, 8-12 weeks would be better, depending on your bio-load but I mean your canister was still very clean. So you're just disturbing the biological life for no reason

I have an Eheim Pro3 which is now 8 years old. It's done a good job. The only issue I've had is that because I've got it in a tight space inside the cabinet, on occasion I've had a bit of trouble sealing it and end up with a puddle. On one occasion last week it got me on a bad day and I've only just gone and bought a Fluval 307!

As someone who lives in a really dry climate, so I exclusively use rimmed tanks with glass lids, I like the design of the Chihiros. It's more accommodating. The rendering of the LED Star was awesome, though, and it seems like you can't really go wrong with either one. With that being said, I purchased a Week Aqua P series from Aqua Rocks Colorado lol but that's because the measurements means it should fit perfectly under the wood canopy for my 75 gallon.
