I think the heavier and more robust builds are in the fire element, and the lighter and more gracile builds are in the wind element. What do you think about this explanation?

Hey HodgePodge, I love your videos on the "Walking With" series. Do you think you'll ever do a review on the Walking With Monsters episodes? Would love to hear your take on them. I feel they are often forgotten or under appreciated and it's such a shame.

6:06 So….. Saurophaganax is pretty invalid now. Either another Allosaur species (not Maximus but a new one called Anax) or a diplodocid sauropod. Even if it turns out the genus name is still valid for something, I doubt it’ll be the same as what we have here. So this is just another time capsule dinosaur

Spirits of the ice forest seems to be even more speculative than Giant of the Skies. To even use species from Queensland as the assumption that they would be also in Antarctica is like assuming Russian bears will be also in southern Europe... it is a long shot although certainly variations of some of the dinos they found in those formations could have made their way to Antarctica still most likely Antarctica had dinos exclusive from it's landmass totally unknown.

Australian paleontology is limited mostly because it's considered "racist" by "aboriginal" activists. The real aboriginals and descendants part-casts such as myself don't care.

What I find funny about Valley of the T. rex is that When Dinosaurs Roamed America already established that young T. rex have longer legs to run faster and that the adults can compensate their slower speed by living in packs or family groups to act as the traps for the youngsters to chase their prey into, thus negating the need to be pure scavengers.

I've had this postosuchus ever since I was a little kid. I know its forelimbs are now considered inaccurate, but I always liked its movement, texture, and pose. It really seems like its just a screenshot of it taking a step.

I’m not that knowledgeable about these kinds of prehistoric creatures, so I enjoy your smooth voice and explanations. Also the Metroid music that I have noticed in some of your videos really fits with these topics. Thanks my friend.

Saw this as a kid and loved it😂liked Christian slaters cheesy narration. He did a character called “The Narrator” in an episode the boys cartoon series Diabolical. Was a really funny way to joke about his narration and hit me with nostalgia for this series

Sure it's out of date now adays but I still think it's a valuable documentary for getting people interested in prehistoric life Also on the pterosaur in the Triassic being out of place, I'll remind people birds and other flying animals can often be found way outside their native range,, cattle egrets were pushed by winds from Africa to the americas for example

Hope you do this for the beasts series also! I found these series so utterly captivating when i was a child, both scientifically and narratively that they occupied so much memory from my childhood brain. So when i re-found them maybe 8 years later, i was convinced each series would have 12 episodes.

If a season 3 were to be made, would like two things: 1. Have it set in the Jurassic period. 2. Have the themes be centered on weather and climate. For what episodes I want to be made surrounding these themes, they are; 1-Fire 2-Blizzards 3-Thunderstorms 4-Drought 5-Volcanoes

17:42 So basically, it’s the same fallacy as Gilbert’s opera referring to the emperor of Japan as “the Mikado”, which, technically speaking, refers more to the concept of the emperor’s authority and government than anything (similar to “Downing Street” and “the White House” for the UK and US, respectively).

Honestly still outperforming a ton of series. While some information has changed over time due to new discoveries, it still remains great entertainment for dinosaur lovers. Wouldnt mind a few more seasons but wasnt as into the new stuff(although David Attenborough was a nice touch).

I really enjoyed Prehistoric Planet, it's far and away the best paleo documentary since the "Walking With..." series originally aired. I've watched it several times over and really hope a S3 is coming. That said, it feels like a victim of cost constraints, like they blew their budget before the end and had to make do to see it through the finish line. The reuse of a lot of species or their models, hiding a lot of action presumably to avoid the need to animate environment interactions, the rushed feeling of S2. It feels like they intended for a much bigger S1 with longer episodes, more sequences and longer ones, but those became too bloated and the show makers were forced to do a lot of edits, leaving oddly structured episodes and a lot of unused assets. They didn't want the money spent on the unused material to go to waste, so they got repurposed into an uneven second season. To me, S2 feels more like a S1.5. Love the breakdown and review! Really come to enjoy this channel! Looking forward to what you tackle next.

Taylor Sheridan casting himself as a self-insert badass who looks awesome, rides horses better than everyone else, wagers millions of dollars, talks like a badass, has the coolest luxury truck money can buy, and inserts his real life ranch as the "place where REAL cowboys are made" is very telling as to who he is in real life
