I was looking into sculpting scales on blender, but when I started thinking about scales I realized that different species have differently shaped scales and that scales often evolve through convergent evolution and different scales are made of different materials and different types of animals have differently shaped scales depending on a prioritization of either durability or mobility and that is not even to consider neogenesis. If you are the type of person who cares about scientific accuracy, go down this rabbit hole before you start sculpting.

I don't think it's fair to rate the game based off how players will exploit curtain game mechanics. If the player wants to play in a boring way while watching KZbin videos, then that's the players fault not the game's fault.

Beasts of Bermuda is the best in my opinion as it has infinite growth, the graphics are very realistic, and the game mechanics are amazing. I hate the isle tho I think the graphics suck and are really buggy and look like roblox. Edit: I. BoB you get to be a snake too so plus one for that

I see people constantly complain about BoB, other people barf choice of dino colours. I don't think this existed when this video was made, I do not remember, but as of now, there is a option setting specifically to remove any neon colours on dinosaurs, and it works well, it makes hot pink look pale brown.

Doesn’t like the freedom of color in BoB. Wants freedom of color in The Isle. 😂 All love. BoB definitely looks bad with the skins players make, but there are truly unique ones. I love the realistic palettes The Isle offers, but they def could update them and have more options per Dino palette

this looks beautiful! I love the dragon/cat/dinosaur creatures, they are gorgeous and so unique! I'd love love for a game like this to really dive into the lore, have interesting and engaging quests, great customization options and an immersive tutorial instead of just text on a screen. I love fantasy, dinosaurs and open world rpg games, and this looks so promising! I hope the world building doesnt fall to the background in lieu of cool looking creatures. I love indie games, I love indie developers, and I love seeing people passionate about their project! Much success to you, can't wait to play!

Why are the designs so creatively bankrupt 😭I thought the whole point of making a game like this is that you get to design something cool and different... I wish y'all the best, but if you want people to care about your game, you're going to need more than the same copy paste 4-legged lizard horse with heads from different animals. There's just not a lot to look at, or any real way to understand what's unique about each one, or how it behaves. I love the customization and gameplay ideas you're cooking, though. The ai creatures also look wonderful, and fit your post-apocalyptic theme, unlike the weirdly mystical prehistoric hybrid playables. Lastly, I really respect you for creating a full game loop and well-made trailer before the kickstarter campaign. Looks promising!

Creatively bankrupt does sting a little bit, but I understand that the creature designs can definitely be improved and aren't where I want them to be either. The majority of the concept art for them is at least a year old, not trying to make excuses but I have learned a good bit since then and I can now hire on more artists to help with the concept art and improving the creature designs which I'm really excited about! I have spent quite a few years essentially drawing the same thing over and over again, so breaking out of those habits has been a challenge, but getting more input from other artists has helped a lot. I get what you mean though, the niche they fill should be visually apparent at the very least, and some of the creatures need more variety added to them. and thank you! that means a lot hearing it from you, I've watched a good few of your videos and getting even a snippet of input from you on my game is really appreciated!
