It’s weird. I am happier than I should be that you enjoy Gleba so much! 😊

15:18 - FWIW, you can kinda fake this with the "any request is zero" thing... so like, "all requests satisfied OR (any request zero and 300 seconds passed)" or something like that. That does still give you the potential of leaving without any of a required item, but presumably your required items are producing fast enough to at least get some up before the timeout, and thus it works to skip optional stuff. Caveat: I think. :D

1:09:46 - FWIW, I did some frame by frame, and I'm 99% sure that the "blip" you saw, which I agree at faster speed kinda seemed like a lower stack size, was actually just a variation in the appearance, which I think is a thing they added in 2.0 for stuff in general, though it's more visible in some items (e.g. eggs or jellynuts) than others.

From what I've seen on the forums, the Factorio devs just seem to have a culture of aggressively denying bugs. It's pretty frustrating even just reading straightforward bug reports by other people.

3:52 - in case you never figured it out, it was because you had wood on the belt... and spoilage, from the harvesting of non-jellynut trees when you planted down a harvester in a previous episode, and didn't clean it out. At 4:02, I only see spoilage, which I suppose could have been jellynut that spoiled, but I suspect it was always spoilage from the initial harvest, and at 4:22 you can see the wood sitting there. 34:59 - I like your rotating fresh biter egg solution! Cool stuff. :) Though, don't you want quality? ;)

47:35 - yeah...... ngl, I liked the old solution, with static recipes for the various modes. Also lets you not have quality modules in the final stage (replacing with prod seems worthwhile [edit: oh, but I guess you can't with this recipe, huh? Anyway...])... but, ya know, you had a mission, and you were on it. So it goes. I've definitely been there. :)

Hey Krydax loving season 3 it has me tempted to start a py run but the whole modset seems ambitious for me . I know this video is a bit older but on your discussion of the tar backing up at 15 mins it can’t happen as backup means too much of Y so X can’t be made since the only “functional” output is tar you are all good as there is no Y for the equation. This is valid as long as all syngas and solids are used as they would be the Y in this equation but that is what you said. Hope this helps and is applicable in this very zen garden

@ I played about 200 hours of seablock years ago I’m still mucking my way through space age I do agree that the feeling of splintered factories is off I’m more worried about the time commitment and not “finishing” what I started even though I would set my end game as Py2 I think that’s a big enough goal. I just have to many games to play and too many commitments but Elden ring might have to get thrown on the back burner for PY

Pretty new to this game. I put green and red circuits on the bus. Watching this episode made the process of making them in place look like hell. There must be some benefit to the approach you took, but I can't figure it out for the life of me.

„Bio-stuff is not inherently as cool to us …” Well, I *strongly* disagree. Being a biologist, I *loved* the fact, that everything on Gleba is based on biotechnology rather than on “normal” technical processing. And it also gives Gleba such a unique spin. That bio-leaching of ores! I only regret, that I tried to set up all the research on Gleba in order to maximize the freshness of bio-research packs. *Way* too expensive to set up all the necessary processes. And while I finally managed to do so, I learned that that upgraded laboratory couldn’t be placed there … Having finished the game now (in my first, but surely not my last run), I can definitely say, that they succeeded to give each of the planets a very unique feel. Very well done! 😊

As a KZbin viewer, sometimes I don't mind the "call to action" - ESPECIALLY if creators put the reminder after their quality effort. If it's in my face at the start, I'm likely to dislike or leave. But if I made it through most of a video, and they say "hey, this is helpful, but no pressure" type of attitude, 99% of the time I'll do it.

Hi Krydax. I started a pY save a few weeks ago. My factory is a mess compared to yours. But I also don't use the adjustable inserters, so that makes things a bit harder. I do have the game running on a server which just keeps the game running while I'm not there. So when I get back after a day, I need to find and fix things that are backed up. But overall that has been a pleasant experience, as it doesn't involve me waiting for things or trying to scale things up before I really understand things. But I'm running into one major problem now, I just made my first py science 1, and have passable circuits running, and I'm just overflowing with creosol, and not getting enough aromatics, and tips for that?
@Krydax8
@Krydax8 3 күн бұрын
Glad you're enjoying it! As far as creosote/aromatics, I don't think there's much you can do at this point. At some point you get some new recipes, but for now I think the tar processing chain is really the only reasonable way to get aromatics, and it happens to produce a lot of creosote. Better than it used to be, though, that recipe for anthracene->coke+gasoline used to not exist, and instead you just turned anthracene into MORE creosote. So be thankful that's changed =D

With the whole-belt readers, sushi malls are actually really easy (at least in vanilla, i'm not sure how it would cope with all the pY intermediates). The trick for me was to have a stripe of 2 belts in the middle carrying iron plates, gears and circuits, so that the sushi belt wasn't clogged up trying to get as much throughput of common ingredients as I needed. Then, you can have a large loading area where you use inserters to stick things on the belt. If you make an intermediate in the mall that's needed for a few other things (like transport belts), just stick it back on the loop!

Your format(stream then cut into episodes) was a little strange to me at first, but I’m realizing that it’s perfect for you, I don’t think it would work for like mike, or docjade, or dosh, but for some reason it just feels like the perfect format to watch you play. Not true, pumps follow the rules still. Everything I said was correct, apart from the numbers. I explain it in the most recent episode (13), but basically pY had two things going on: It changed the max flow rate from 6k/sec to 30k/sec, AND it had a bug until just now that actually made it 1.8MILLION/sec. lol. So that's why the pumps were doing weird things :D
