Such a great saw! Just picked it up and it did everything I asked today! Really happy with this purchase.

455 husky rocks, I've had mine a long time. Got a 24 inch bar on it, easier to cut up firewood without leaning over so far, also lets you stand back a little farther from wood under tension. I highly recommend it if your looking for a 50 + cc. saw.

I love my 455 Rancher. Maybe a bit heavy, compared to the pro-series, but I love it. The pre-filter air cleaning is great. My buddies with their Stihl saws always have to clean their air filters, I do this 2 or 3 times a year.

I picked one up last year someone put the wrong size fuel lines and an aftermarket fuel filter in the tank both caused issues with it not wanting to run. Fix all that with OEM parts. Runs great. I did flood it yesterday when I went to start it. I did everything right except pulled a second time with the choke out and 30 minutes later I got it running, my mistake. Great video very informative and I had no idea you could adjust the bar oil flow. Thanks.

How do you grease the needle bearings on the clutch, and how often?

My Rancher 455 is at least 15 years old. I cut two truckloads of oak last weekend with it. I love that saw. It has never let me down. My older one is a bit different than the new one you have (e.g., I have no fuel bubble), but jt looks functionally the same.

I've had a 455 for some time now. One of my bar studs have been stripped. I ordered some replacement studs, but contrary to most of the videos that I have watched. I cannot replace the studs through the oil tank. I can't even see the back of the studs. Any advice on how to replace these studs?

Did you know you can reset the brake with a bar reach ? Some come with that extra function

Drum sprocket or Rim sprocket? I see the drums get chewed up and I do not like that. Rims are so very quick and easy to replace....... Stihl rims at least.
@stevecochran90782 ай бұрын
Why doesn't Husqvarna make a spanner that engages the chain brake like it does on the saw so you can release it without without chewing up the engagement surfaces?

You can use the factory scrench, with three notches in 19 mm end.

anyone else notice how he made sure to cover the "STIHL" name on his chaps? just thought that was funny. The 455 has been a great saw for me.

On my 455 Rancher the bar oil screw is opposite of what you said. On mine clockwise is less and counter clockwise is more.

Can you show how to put this chain back on if it pops off?
@Bushman95 ай бұрын
Your chain break advice was backwards. Lock your chain when you are moving your feet in case you trip; unlock it when you’re in position to make the cut.

So the two biggest problems with that saw are both user error and also problems that many other chainsaws have.

Hi I’m, looking at purchasing a blower my current backpack blower is a Husqvarna 150 BT.I just don’t know what to get my local Dealers are STHIL and echo and all of my equipment is already STHIL I am in a light duty commercial application but doing heavy duty fall leaf cleanups in the fall and spring. What would you recommend. Thank you
@tgsgardenmaintenance46272 жыл бұрын
If your dealer is Stihl, I would suggest a BR700 or BR800. If you love your current Husqvarna and can get hold of them, the Husqvarna 570BTS & 580BTS are excellent too! I have the 580 BTS and absolutely love it! Very powerful, comfortable to use, long run time, due to large fuel tank, and very reliable! Just my opinion of course but you won't go wrong with Stihl or Husqvarna!

Thought this video was funny. If someone doesn't know a lot of this stuff, they probably shouldn't be running around 455. ER doctors and surgeons need to make a living though. Regardless, great video. You gotta assume that a lot of people bought a chainsaw and have zero clue whatsoever. A lot of helpful info for someone who is new.
@tomyousch707010 ай бұрын
Enough, enough already. If you can’t start the chainsaw you shouldn’t be operating one.

455 is a great saw, I have nothing but good things to say about it 👍 Unfortunately I have thrown the chain from operator error and ruined the chain but better the chain than you

i would think the heat the saw produces might make the outside temp irrelevent once the oil is in the saw am i wrong?
@oo0Spyder0oo2 жыл бұрын
The oil tank won’t be affected by the engine temp if that’s what you mean, it usually does change viscosity depending on the weather out. Ie thick in cold and thin in hot weather.
