I would put a layer of sound deadening mat (butyl and aluminum foil) inside and stuff polyfil around the speaker. Just right amount. :) Thanks for the video!

Gonna put these on my truck. Question, am I still gonna be safe to go through a car wash with these mounted on my hood?

I always do 8 coats. You want a thick layer on top of the wheels to repel road particles. You’ll also want to redo it every three years or so and if the layer is too thin, it’ll be a real pain to take off.

So when I drive in Snow do I have to use 4wd? I live in an area woth very rare snow and I am not certain of when I need to use it? I've had my jeep for a few years but I don't use the 4wd much. It rarely snows and i just got a tone of it.

Thanks for that last part about holding the brake down on the third part. I also have an ice scraper so I’ll use that when I do it. I do my rear brake calipers tomorrow.

Was driving a 4WD suburban on a road that was ice covered with new snow on top. First curve the suburban's steering was having very little effect, but made it OK. Second curve it was non responsive, straighten out the curve, went off the road down hill until I arrived at another road. The snow drift on the oft side of the second road stopped me! Next stop would have been down a hill, through a fence, and into a pasture with the cattle! Switched to 2WD and no further problems. Seems that when i slowed down in the curves the engine compression in 4WD caused loss of traction.😳

First rule of driving, put your seatbelt on . Especially when you are instructing people how to drive safely.
@danielemrick8639
@danielemrick8639 Жыл бұрын
If you are going to do this correctly, you put a layer around the the box inside, a bit of spray adhesive will hold it to the sides. That much fill defeats the purpose of the box, which is to allow the sound waves to flow inside.

Never, never, never tighten with a drink/driver. Always hand tighten. Driver can possibly strip the screws, which go into clips or plastic.

It's the first time I have done this; I followed your instructions to completion. Everything was well explained and easy to follow, but I did run into one problem. I can't find in the video if you mentioned there are right and left side brake pads. The first time around I put the two non-tabbed outside pads on the side I was working on. Then, when the tabbed pads wouldn't fit the caliper on the other side, I had to figure out what was wrong and them switch the back to the correct configuration. 🙂

Are you pumping the breaks for all four calipers because you replaced all four? Otherwise if im just replacing one should I only pump the breaks for just that one?

Great video! I have a 2022 JLU Rubicon but also had 2012 and 2018 JKU Rubicons. My 2018 JKU met an untimely demise when it was t-boned by a driver who ran red light.. The JKUs felt far sturdier and just felt more capable. Were/Are they? I dunno, but I said what I said. Missin' my JKs.
