On the larger rear axle and the stiff suspension: Beta has their focus on Enduro GP and other higher speed stuff. Look at the contract running out with Jonny Walker, and the support they did (not) give him.

nice video as always, I think Beta always uses stop light and front light on the race models because racing in europe sometimes need to drive in street roads and maybe this is why the keeping installed from factory, maybe i'm wrong but think about it, i see races with the bikes with license plate in the back
@Steveman612 ай бұрын
You are right! I am over here in Europe. Not having a front and rear light means you are not competing. Simple as that. The rules over here are different. In FIM races you have to have that stuff. In some races, as you correctly mentioned, public roads or at least parts of public roads are used. If that's the case you need to have a licence plate. In races like Erzberg, Romaniacs it isn't necessary to have a licence plate but lights are mandatory. In Europe there are no races, except local ones where you can use MX bikes, or Enduro bikes without headlights....
@3SeasRecreation2 ай бұрын
Yea I fully understand the European thing and that is cool for them but the USA market is strong enough to earn bikes that are directly for our buyers. Beta USA is awesome with their accessories, in-fact you can order a complete light kit for a 300 RX if you desired. I would rather have the ability to add a light to a race bike rather than being told we have to remove it. Anyways, looks like I will have to keep dreaming until 2026 lol...

Thanks for the review, Jared! One thing to keep in mind with the new dual spark plug head is that every guy I ride with on a 24' 300 race edition that rides slower technical terrain (medium to hard enduro) ALLLLL overheat their bikes. I'm riding right next to them on my 23' and have never once overheated it. They have to run evan's coolant, enlarge the stater so they can run dual fans, larger impellers etc... The new head design if flawed with decreased coolant flow. Beta USA is aware of this. I was hoping they would change the design for 25's but no luck! I don't think they had enough time to reconfigure this before working on the 25 RE's. Maybe next year!!

To your point about electric start bikes not starting if the batteries dead. I highly recommend everybody to make a purchase of a capacitor for emergency starting. It will allow your bike to start and run without a battery. Of course you have to either push start or kickstart it. But that’s better than being stuck and just pushing 20 miles.

My big complaint is the junk suspension on the non-race models. I've worked on the sachs and ZF stuff...not impressed. Beta needs to offer a suspension package choice, kyb-trail, kyb-xc-race and the stock sachs, ZF. Beta is going backwards with the single function forks, every other suspension manufacturer has stepped away from it, because its a poor design.

I do not believe that Beta will make race editions with race wiring harness, because Race editions and standard RR (now X-Pro) are all street legal in Europe. No one there is interested to buy a motorcycle that would not be street legal (without lights and standard wiring harness). And for USA market to make modified model would not be cost effective.
@my-max-media76212 ай бұрын
Manufacturers feel they must add or change things to have a "new" selling point... even if these changes do nothing. Really they tend to NOT listen well to customers or critically think with customers input because they're engineers and have tunnel vision🤣 Completely agree to make race edition without all the extra wiring etc. Oh, and get rid of the steering head lock on frame that'll just injest water and wreck the bearings
@danielseibert40822 ай бұрын
you guys seme to forget that these bikes are designed for europe. The Steering lock and all the wiring is needed for registration in europe (where most of the bikes are sold) Without a steering lock and extra wiring the bike would not be able to be sold. But i think there are better ways to solve this than most manufatures do. Like a seperate harness for lightning which can easily be removes or a steering lock mountet to the tripleclamps like on some ktms. Or a own Race Model for US.
@3SeasRecreation2 ай бұрын
I think the USA market is certainly big enough to earn our own XC bike. The Xtrainer was 100% designed and asked for by the Beta USA team and that has now had a huge impact around the world. They already have the frame without the steering lock in the RX model. Why not just take a 200cc 2-stroke and a 300 2-stroke off road tuned motor and throw it in that frame you already have with an 18" rear wheel? We would certainly be in line for them!
