I’ve lived in both the Philippines and Thailand. The difference I noticed is that Filipinos speak English very easily and are incredibly warm and friendly. Thai is are also very kind and warm hearted, but their English isn’t as strong, which can make communication a bit harder. However, I don’t know why, but the last time I visited Thailand in march and stayed near Khaosan Road, I didn’t get a good vibe. It felt like everyone there was just focused on money. But I’m sure that’s not the case in other parts of Thailand or even other areas of Bangkok

One more thing we rented a condo with 2bedrooms,$40.00/day.same cost in Mall of Asia,where we stayed..when im in Manila..so far Thanks gOd we havent experience tsunami..a deadly natural disasters.. which in some asian countries they got tsunami that killed 10,thousand foreigners..

Thailand industry is Tourism,so of course they should invest well in their country especially their airport is much bigger,weve had holiday last week there nd its so similar to my Philippines..but majority doesnt speak English,we foreigners they talk to us in Thai,how the hell we can understand each other??we ate at Mcdonald,becoz we cant find any good restorant over there since its our firstime touring,we order at Mc dOnald but we cannt undertand both each other,thats why we should do is just pointing with our fingers what is our orders.and i found out that our Phils.beaches is far more beautiful than beaches over there,becoz we went to Pattaya,nd i didnt enjoyed the water becoz its messy not organized place to swim..im just being hOnst,i dont see anything especial there,its more fun in the Philippines!! no offense its just my perspective..our Beaches are the best in the wOrld..BOracay,Palawan,name it..etc.i still missed my homeland..

ph is not good at foods. but for me i do intermittent fasting, practice frugality and minimalism so I find foods cheaper and it costs cheaper to me around 100 to 200 pesos per day for food. In thai, foods are tasty but i really dont want tasty as im trying to discipline my inner self to get rid of food addiction, get use to moderate taste or tough sort of mentality. people are friendlier compare to thai, easy to talk to. make friends. but insanely friendly as that makes me scared too. accommodation in condo are expensive, they are expensive also as the newbies come here they dont shop around and dont understand that Filipino agents are just trying for highest price. that drives the price up. so you can still find prices in same range as thai, but just abit difficult as these agents are smarter compare to simple honest thai people. safety and scams are issues in Philippines but i was scammed in pataya too. another time few Indians tried but i was experienced and ran away. here ph i go scammed ones too. but moved to cebu. it is better. it is poor country, so people do lie alot while in thai, people were abit more honest i noticed. over all finding good price condo is difficult though. but then there are apartment , residential studios that one can find from 3500 pesos per month. which is way cheaper in ph.

I'm hoping to visit The Philippines for the first time this year. However I have visited Thailand a number of times in the past, what I would say about the Thai people is this, keep in mind that while Thai's seem generally friendly every relationship with them is transactional, if you can live with that and accept that then its a great place to live. I do agree about Thai food too, its really great and insanely inexpensive if you take your time and look at the options.

Like as with anywhere ........ you have to live within your means .... duhhh.

Brazil is amazing. It’s a little far if you consider long haul flights you need to get there from pretty much anywhere. But it’s a world within a country. Very diverse population make up, different regions, good food, currency is devaluated so it’s pretty cheap if you earn usd/euros etc. The music is great too. The language is somewhat of a barrier since not many people speak fluent English, but they’re open and you can get around easily.
