This movie works better as glorifying homicide,” and comedy than a true story. Some of the cast and crew members didn’t even know the screenplay was based on a true story. There’s nothing noble in this story. Never trust and let Hollywood dictate and control the narrative of history, particularly when it comes to the Pennsylvania crime family led by Bruce Johnston Sr. Two Police Officers were assassinated in 1972 by the Johnston Gang. [ police officers ] Richard Posey and William Davis. RIP. The kiddie gang massacre was shot in the back except for Robin Marie Miller she was shot in the face and ran inside her bedroom to die of blood loss. I have no respect for the Cast who turned the story into something else, not what happened. After Bruce's death in jail, he ended up in Union Cemetery so close to Robin Millers' grave. It's awful. You should sue Hollywood? If Robin had not met Bruce that Spring, she'd still be with us today. She was only 15 years old. Former U.S. Attorney Doug Richardson said: “I thought it was simply, revoltingly bad. I simply couldn't believe it. We know what Hollywood does, but first of all, heaven only knows where Walken got that accent? I mean, I don't think that accent exists anywhere on the face of this earth. I thought the real story was so much better, and if they'd made it into how law enforcement collaborated across traditional rivalries in order to gather tons of information and just squeeze the life out of this gang, that would've made a good movie.” Former Chief Chester County Detective Charlie Zagorskie and his wife, former Assistant District Attorney Dolores Troiani, refused to see it in the theater. They eventually watched it on television. Troiani recalls they turned it off part of the way through. Zagoriskie called it “very bad.” His biggest criticism was that the movie tried to portray Bruce Sr. and Bruce Jr. as having a credible loving relationship as father and son, a relationship which he says simply did not exist. Lisa Harrington, a teenage motel clerk who saw one of the Johnston Gang members on the day of the ambush and testified in both trials, saw the movie and didn’t even realize it was about the case she spent years embroiled in. “I have to say it's really nothing like when I remember anything to be about the, the event and somebody said to me: ‘Oh, that's about the Johnston trial.’ I'm like, What? Like really? I've seen the movie. I didn't even put the two together when I saw the movie,” Lisa told me in our interview. The Killing Month August 1978," tells the true story of a string of murders in Chester County, Pennsylvania, committed by the Johnston Gang. www.wral.com/story/how-the-killing-month-august-1978-differs-from-the-movie-at-close-range/20989210/

Lowkey you gotta give him credit, the scene before this and some of the scenes where they shared conversation was riddled with her flirting or showing some kind of teasing. When they were drinking in the living room and he called her on her tendency to run rather than settle down and said he was going to the studio I thought he mastered himself and was fleeing the scene. But she came up and he didn’t know what to do anymore, he was actually a little clueless as to what she wanted and didn’t have his guard up.
