Your mic gain appears to be pretty hot. I would bring that back and increase compression a little.

WOW! Mike that is a beautiful look. Is that the screen and Arduino platform from Alex RZ1ZR if so I guess there's a way to program all the new AMPS coming out...
@MikeN2MDX26 күн бұрын
It is a Nextion Screen which I modified. The Arduino Programming is from Rabby! But Alex RZ1ZR is doing fantastic stuff!

I still haven't understood what the hardware differences are between (WA2T) HL2+ 5 watts and HL by EU1ES 20 watts which seems more manageable with the cables divided between front and back. tnx

So stay tuned to my channel definitely more to come. 👍🏼 Thank you again MikeMDX. 73’s!

Hi there.. Can you tell me which connector on the back of the hermes lite 2 I'm meant to connect to to transmit pure signal? Is it the antenna connector and my sampler attaches to RX3? I'm a little confused by all of this. Thanks for your time. I'm using the HL2IO Board so the back is called "Pure" and I think I have to set it for duplex use somehow. I'm new to this thing. But thank you for the videos, they've been really bloody helpful!

Any clue on why you get the big thud in noise when ptt is activated, I have the same and could only remove it by changing the tx cable to 'virtual audio cable'. I'm presuming it's feeding rx audio from rx to tx via 'vb-audio cable'

Not sure of that thud you speak off please send a audio clip with a time stamp to my email on Qrz and I can possibly help you on that!

Its almost as nice as my 7300! Great job!
@MikeN2MDX2 ай бұрын
It’s actually way better than the 7300 . Only thing the 7300 has over the Hermes is 100w of power that’s it! The Hermes blows away the 7300 in so many ways and it cost a Quarter of the price. I owned many 7300’s and put the radio through its paces, it is not a true SDR radio maybe hybrid at best! True SDR Rigs are NOT LIMITED TO BANDWIDTH. And this is PiSDR with all these features Forget about comparing it to Thetis not even a Icom 7851 flagship touches Thetis with Pure Signal! Once again Thank you 🙏 I value everyone’s opinions and Appreciate every ham who loves this hobby as much as I do. We are all into this to learn and enjoy this fun loving hobby. Your friend N2MDX 😉
