Using the Amazon USB wheel for your panadapter tuning. Here’s a nice feature in Thetis you might want to look at. In Thetis there is an option to have it focus on the panadapter all the time regardless of where your mouse is pointed, also you can set it to only control panadapter and not, other things that the mouse is pointed to, this is very helpful. Setup-General-Navigation: in the dropdown one of the HIDs is the USB wheel choose it, then check the boxes for the other features, make controlling the panadapter while using a logger with your mouse MUCH easier.

Hi Mike, thanks for the video. One question; If thetis is not hightlighted and is running in the background, let's say, you open your logging program and you are filling in the logbook, does the knob still work with thetis. Or are you forced to bring thetis to the front and highlight the program to make the knob work? 73's de ON7OFF

So where you point your mouse is where the knob will work. Which means if you come out of Thetis to point to another program then no won’t work.

@@MikeN2MDX hmm, that is a bummer. Then you could just use the wheel on a normal mouse. The reason why I think it might be useful is when it is connected all the time with the Thetis app and you can use the knob to PTT and to scroll through the frequency. If you are logging a call sign in a log program, you will have to switch over between thetis and the logbook app which is annoying. Any workaround?

can you assign the control knob to do other actions, like as a mouse wheel, or the left and right or up and down arrows on the keyboard? i wanted to use it for video editing for scrolling on the timeline

Yes you can assign it in the txt pad it has many options.

Yes correct you can not change frequency if Thetis is minimized, needs to be pointed at waterfall for it to work.

Can you use the FlexRadio USB knob with the HL2 with the Thetis software since I have already have one of their VFO knobs I use with a Flex6600 for possible use with the HL2 ?
