I'm an electrical contractor. I have zero clue how carpenters work their magic. But this was impressive. 4 hours is a very short amount of time. I'm even more impressed by how generally supportive the comments are on here. Good video. Keep it up.

Neither one did a great job. if I have a month to prepare I'm coming with a cut list, both of these could have looked nicer. Carpentry done in a non-real-world scenario is just silly. Both of these guys suffer from a common affliction in the industry: insecurity.

I'm confused because most treated/ground contact lumber is already good for 20 years in the ground. Does this product "double" that? Other experts I ask say that this product also TRAPS MOISTURE IN and the wood dries slower that it normally does.

Code here Im almost positive don’t quote me on this, the nail or screw used must go through the ledger into joist or the rim joist. Idk though my favorite flavor crayon is blue soooo I wouldn’t listen to me lol

People saying they would've gotten the hammer out of the garbage.... it looks like a husky 20 ounce. I've used them and they're completely ass. Go to the flea market you'll find something 10x better for the same price or less.

Seems like a good idea . Except there's a pretty big problem . It's great when you have room . What do you do if your up close to something you can't move . Like a wall or a house. If your putting in a ground level deck your not attaching to the house . You still have to put support right next to the house.And there's no room for the big 2x4. Were will you get the leverage to get it to your hight?
@de04609
@de04609 10 сағат бұрын
Switch sides with the 2X4. Half turn, then move it to the other side, half turn and repeat. If not cut a block of 2x4 to an inch and a half and screw it to the long 2X4 that way if you are in really tight you can get quarter turns. Otherwise rent a 1” impact and drive it in.
