In the summer: "The fence is LAVA!!!" Honest question: What's the cost comparison between this and the usual vinyl fencing? Also, I'd imagine this would have a longer use-life and be more durable than vinyl fencing, since that crap is typically hollow and becomes brittle over time... Is that a safe assumption?

This is more expensive for sure. And this is more durable and longer lasting yes.

Could you have screwed into the horizontal boards from the back and saved yourself from having the brown trim piece next to each of the larger, dark vertical posts?

Dude this stuff is crazy expensive here in northern Michigan...but if ya had a bunch leftover from like a few jobs then it might be feasible as far as cost goes. Hey it looks good bud

What is composite decking like 15$ 20$ a board and you would need about 40 or 50? This does not only not look good because it looks like a playschool children's fence but also is this the most expensive 4 panels of fence ever put together?
