I see it as a "square" dude, a pencil pusher, whose whole worldview collapses. Suddenly all of the freaks, whom he normally feels superior to....well... he is becoming the freak. I don't think the "pencil in your hand" line necessarily indicates a journalist. Could just mean a bureaucrat or any kind of institutional desk job type person.
@guzzopinc16462 күн бұрын
Wow! I thought the line was "princess" kept the view! I was hearing that for the past 30 years! Jeez, now I gotta rearrange the images in my mind.

It's as if the crowd realized then that the popularity of Folk Music would come crashing down if someone as brilliant as Bob Dylan played his music with the same demon instruments as were used to create blues and rhythm and blues music. They were right. Everything changes, music evolves, Dylan showed the power of combining intelligent lyrics with the emotional influence of electric guitar music. The new folk music was an improvement over the old.

Love your reaction and analysis! Stevie is always hyper aware of where he's going, even while improvising, and he adjusts his distortion equipment (wah-wah pedals, whammy bar, etc, that you were gearing) on the fly whenever necessary. I can listen to this song a million times and it never ever gets old. RIP SRV! ❤

Black soul blues was called rock. Watered down but acceptable to Whites. All the British invasion rock bands refer to Black artists. Rock looks at Elvis.

I like your reaction, I'm an old boy these days... There's neither pain or remorse... It's about a big fuck off hard core mission to sort out some shit. The phrase No Quarter comes from an old battle call on land or sea which means take no prisoners. No mercy. Non shall be spared. We carry the news that must get through. Have it. 💪💪😎💥

When you consider that Brian started with 4 tape heads and then he combined voices by re - recording that as one tape (reels) and added and layered etc. he was a pioneer. Before this, groups would all crowd in around the mics with their instruments. One big single take, like a live recording. He quickly added more tape heads at the studio, then added studio musicians (the Wrecking Crew) then had the band come and sing. See "Wall of Sound" guy, Speckter. Brian learned harmonies from the Four Freshmen and other 4 part harmonizers of the 50's and 60's.
