You need to be at least 40 to know the difference between dot and dab and just dabbing, or have been taught by someone over 40. Nothing wrong with either method. This however is t even what I’d call dab. That’s 5 x the adhesive needed in reality, maybe more.

This is just dabbing the dotting should be sections of the wall set out as points lined through with string lines to ensure boards are plumb, DOT AND DAB is an old term infact I can probably guess that 90% of traditional plastering has disappeared and the new age plasterers are not taught that way anymore👍

My guess is since you weren't wearing gloves, you probably weren't wearing a respirator with VOC cans.

Guys do not use heavy degreasers on electronic units. These carb cleaners are for solid metal parts not for precision tools 😂.God bless

I'm sure brake cleaner is melting any seals in your gun, they're very clear about using only paslode cleaner and oil in there guns for a reason. I'll pay the £10-£12 a can and service myself happy on the knowledge that I've done it correctly cheaper than sending it in for a service

I use westway lubricant oil its a fraction of the price of paslode. The holts cleaner is good

see how mucky that gun is, try with no oil and it won't need to be serviced for years then replace the ring when it wears down- they are cheap! Then the gun stays dry inside.
