I owned both the .22 and .17HMR versions of this rifle. For starters, the cerekote models have a nicer, less-cheap feeling chassis. The triggers are pretty good, too. The bolts though, are poorly machined and need polishing after removing burrs. Also, the extractor needed tweaking to reliably function. I sold the .17HMR because it wasn’t very accurate, no matter the ammo. As for the .22, it’s fairly accurate and suitable for bench shooting. It’s also heavy due to the bull barrel and wouldn’t recommend it for hunting.

I hear those are amazing.

The trigger should be adjustable down to about 2.5lbs. About a half inch group at 50yds with match ammo is about the best it will do with original trigger and barrel. I have replaced both the trigger and barrel on mine. Now it's a competitive shooter.

I have heard those are worthy upgrades.

Great video! I am curious to see how this Ruger PR does against the Christensen Arms .22lr bolt action that goes for nearly 3x the price.
