I love this bike so much. One day I'd kill to have a FXR exactly like this. CLEAN DUDE!

Watched a video where the spokes on both wheels broke leaving the whole bike to start wobbling is this a common fault on a very popular and very expensive motorcycle it could easily have caused the rider to crash and be killed

This bike was an early 2022 build R1250 RT. Due to component shortages, it did not come with the radio amplifier, or radar Active Cruise Control. It's obvious by the left control module, not having the extra button on top, left of the red hazard button. BMW discounted these $600 for the radio delete, and I don't know how much for the non Active Cruise Control. Since this was filmed in Los Angeles, with traffic in pretty much all of Southern California, they aren't missed. I don't miss them one bit on my 2022 Alpine White R1250 RT either. Typical of a new BMW, the shifting is a little clunky for 12 to 15000 miles, they smooth up nicely once ridden a bit, otherwise a little notchy. I find the quickshifter feature, once your've read the instructions on how to operate, to be quite slick shifting on mine, and getting better all the time. I'm currently at 5500 miles on mine. I've ridden mine all throughout the Santa Monica Mountains roads and canyons, lots of Angeles Forest and San Gabriel Mountains, and Los Padres National Forest paved roads, as well as many of the passes in the northern Sierras between Mammoth Lakes , Yosemite, clear up to South Lake Tahoe, and the bike is the best I've had the honor of riding, out of all of them. Immense torque for it's engine displacement of 1254 cc's, and the HP really kicks in much above 4500 rpm with quite acceptable acceleration rates.

I'm thinking about getting this bike. Have yet to testdrive it yet as I still need my motorcycle license but I'm a woman standing at 5'5" and 124lbs, and the size with the mid control kit is so snug and comfortable, I fell in love immediately. It's been difficult finding a bike I'm comfortable on and doesn't seem too heavy. Thanks for posting this review! 😊

Because RT is more handsome, better corner ability, better aerodynamic, much better handling, etc.

Well done for revealing measurements, very useful for judging if it will fit tool bag front of bike.

Ive owned an 1150RT that i only rode for about 6 months before I totalled it by t-boning a teenager, and then a 2007 R1200RT-P. I'm retiring her from duty at 153k and I am going to miss her. Ive been looking at a GSA, but worried it won't live up to the RT. I do wish I could have one of each.

A lot of people bought the K 16 GTL or the B model. I really don't think these iterations really represent the K16. Both have inherent handling issues. I've had a 2013 K 16 GT (plain) for about 25 K miles so far (5 years). I've ridden the RT (week long rental about 2200 mi) in Colorado. Both bikes handle excellently, but the K16 is better when 2 up with luggage. Has way more power. The telelever suspension is very impressive and both bikes handle better than any other sport tourers. The RT is much lighter and easier with slow maneuvering . If I didn't have a passenger at times, I'd probably go for the RT, however, It's interesting how the weight on a K 16 disappears at around 4 mph. The K16, 2013 model doesn't have reverse. She's a heavy beast if you park her facing even a little bit downhill.

I really enjoyed your review. Good that you found a bike that fits and you enjoy. Some riders have to try out 40 bikes before they find their soul mate. Sounds like an rt would tick most boxes for me. I like comfort and agility more than speed.

Plenty of power! What exactly is that bike trying to be? Is it a naked bike? A scrambler? A cruiser? Some kind of hybrid thingy? It’s kind of cool, but it doesn’t fall into any class. Being that the case, I would much prefer a Yamaha MTO9ST. What a strange motorcycle!

These two bikes don't have the same front suspension. The paralever is the rear suspension in both. The K has dualever front suspension which is far superior to the telelever on the R series in my opinion.

Lose the big fat front wheel, lose the forward controls, lose say 50 pounds? And I am IN! Not until though sorry PS Oh yeah and also? I want the FULL horse power! Not castrated! WTH is even with that? Makes no sense the PA has 50ish more HP? What the??....oh yeah and DANG IT! I just realized WTH? ONE rotor in front?? Seriously? Nah this bike needs a total redo FORGET it! Harley screwed up between pricepointing and trying to cater to FORM over function ....its why I have owned so many different motorcycles and never ever a Harley because they dont care about making a great motorcycle...they care about making easy money off their "base" that basically has been on about a fad involving vibration a look and I guess nationalistic pride thing? I'm all for buying a US made bike Id LOVE to! But I am NOT compromising

My last bike was an RNineT a wonderful bike that handled really good I am an old man and it freaked people out that I had no chicken strips on the BMW such a great bike the only reason I got rid of it was I got stage 4 lung cancer and my doctor said I would die with it and about two years of chemo and I beat it it’s been about three years since I beat it and I am getting stronger so after I get strong enough to pick one up I’m getting the R1250 RT I love that bike and want some luggage compartment so I can go wherever I want I’ve been retired since I got cancer and I am ready for a new bike
