This is helpful. I believe there’s a few levels of Dirac. There is one that’s usually free and then higher-end versions that you pay for. Does that sound correct?

You've got it. You can certainly get deep into Dirac. Dirac Live is the version we show here, and it is indeed the one that comes free with certain products.
