Quick question, I have a 2013 road glide. I have the MLX 8604 kit installed. Have to set up my odometer asap, but I don’t have a function switch. Perhaps it’s just referring to the trip switch? The 14+ road glides have a function switch on the front side of the bars, however 98-13 do not. I just go to the odometer and hold the trip button to set? I’ll try again in the morning. Just want to make sure I set my odometer before going on my trip

Yes, the OEM trip switch is used here.

so if you are out somewhere with no satellite reception you lose everything on dash??

If the GPS-50-2 is unable to receive satellite reception, it will look to the onboard accelerometer, as a backup. Keep in mind, this is only providing the speedometer information, so this will be the only readout impacted. Alternatively, this is only the case with a GPS speed sensor, a more common wired connection would never experience this.

How do you flip (invert) the display? You say it can be flipped in the setup menu but there is none and there is nothing in the directions.

Thank you for the message, The setup configuration, shown on the top of page #2 of the manual will reflect the 'under bar' use - which rotates the display. www.dakotadigital.com/pdf/PGR-1000.pdf

@@DakotaDigitalTV Thank you, figured it out. With the display flashing "C" before programing will the unit detect neutral yet? I am assuming it needs a run / program to be able to put into the procedure outlined on page #2?

Glad they're offering the RTX (aka "stock look") series to keep the stock look with modern electronics. With technology constantly advancing in cars, your dash with the "new-car gauges" look will just end up looking dated in a few years as new cars change yet again.

Thank you for the message, If you would prefer the fans to turn on at the same time, choose the Single fan operation and wire them in parallel. If you would prefer to stagger the turn-on points, choose the Two fan operation.

When using a GPS-50-2 along with a BIM-01-2 variation, we suggest connecting the Speed output from the GPS directly to the instrument system control module, not using the BIM connection.

I have no way to know what sender was used during the build of my 34 ford, but I did the custom set up, and it initially seemed to work perfectly. Next day I start it up to take a test run, and I get a Fuel F3 error and it shows empty… what might have happened? Could it be interference and I need to twist the wires running to the sender? I thought I was too lucky when it worked first time!

I went back to the sensor to check it and found the signal wire connection had loosened up again and was giving an erratic reading. I terminated that line with a fresh connector and re-seated it and put a drop of lock right on it. New ohm readings matched a GM sensor on the list, and I am in business! Thank you!

Yes, when calibrating the unit, program the OD at the same detent position as D, telling the GSS-3000 that you do not have overdrive.

An OEM replacement fuel level sensor is the best option for this application, since this will drop into place without modification - and can be ready by the Dakota Digital instrument system.

Hello there, I ordered one with Your sensor, just got it install and I notice the temperature aren't the same of the car, my car water temperature with the cat off is at 54° and the unit says it's at 101° if I run warn up the car is about 10° colder then the temperature of the Dakota unit. Do i need to adjust or calibrate it? Thank You in advance.

If you would like to utilize a GPS speedometer, the GPS-50-2 would be required. But, since the 4L80E transmission has a VSS onboard, you could connect to this instead, creating a wired connection to the Dakota Digital system.

I recently purchased this unit and have it connected via the BIM cable but the unit does not show any power. The HDX gauges work perfectly. Shouldnt the fan unit get power via the BIM cable? Am i missing something

Hello Tony, The BIM connection does not provide the PAC-2800BT with power and ground. This will be connected separately, the middle diagram of page 2 of the installation manual is the proper configuration for this installation. I installed one of these on my car today, the tach seems really slow to respond. Is this a common issue with these? Or normal characteristic? It takes like 5 seconds after the engine starts for the tach signal to show up, and it is noticeably laggy from actual engine RPM. This is on a Toyota 4 cylinder running a Link FuryX ECU. It isn't laggy when the tachometer is modified to receive a low voltage signal and the link ECU is wired directly to it.

I strongly recommend skipping this product and purchasing a pulse width modulator setup from autocoolguy. Do not buy a PWM from any of the other companies that make them. I've used simple on/off relay setups and they work fine, but it's nothing or a hurricane. I had a Derale PWM and it quit after 3 months......twice. I opened it up and the internals were undersized and shoddily made. I purchased a 125 amp setup from autocoolguy and it's been humming along for a couple of years now. The fan only runs at the speed that is needed now; which, for me, seems to be about 25% speed on a warm day in stop and go traffic. No more off-on-off-on cycling. I felt my alternator's pain.

This looks very interesting. What protocol are the BIM modules using to send data? CANBUS? I2C? something else?

@Dakotadigitaltv Mt stock Chrysler guage reads 43 ohms full and when I try to manually adjust to 99% it says fail. Currently set for SW setting what am I doing wrong? Also ford 73-10 didn't work at all ground strap on and checked. No ground wire on - of fuel terminal do I need a new sending unit?
