Those visuals were great. Do they still do video awards? This could be a contender. That leather jacket he wears when he’s falling is gorgeous! It feels like the version in white is the creator. Like Frankenstein creating the monster. And the one in dark clothes knows he’s there for him, going to make him the monster. I think that weapon is a meat hook.
@LaraSchiffbauer3 күн бұрын
I bet it is a meat hook! And I like your thinking about creator and monster. Skz have so many gorgeous costumes. I am in awe of whomever their stylist(s) are. I suppose I could find out somewhere? Hmmm, something to think about. I can't love this video enough. The fight scene (that looks like a super-hero movie) is soooo good. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! ❤

Hi, Sally! Yes, I have avoided figure-fitting clothes for the same reason, but if I were to recommend any one pattern to someone looking at maybe trying one out, it would be this pattern. It's very flattering, with it's high, curved waist and it's so easy to adjust. I hope you do give it a try, and let me know how it turns out! I'm very glad to hear you'll be back and we can talk more about finding joy, being fearless and sewing up style! ☺😉🙃 Happy New Year!❤

Hi Lara! Skipping right to the end part first, I have to say you are so inspiring and motivating for working towards a life of joy ❤ Now for the skirt - LOVE IT! I love the high waisted look. Is that style comfortable to wear? I lost a lot of weight 3 years ago and am still in the “it won’t fit if I cut a smaller size” mindset. Looking forward to Sew Fearless/ So Fearless 2025 🙂

Michelle, I'm so excited you're along for the joy ride (literally!) 😄 We'll get Blake to help with the dance challenge and usher in 2025 with abandonment! The skirt is so comfortable. Because of the way the facing is designed, it isn't tight or pinchy. I highly recommend it! Thank you so much for all your support. You know it means so much to me!! ❤❤❤

That skirt fits like a glove! Well done! I noticed right away that your medium blue jacket really makes the pretty blue in your eyes pop. As an intermediate sewist I definitely need to lose the fear of failing (messing up a nice or expensive fabric) when it comes to sewing. Besides that, I think I should worry less about my bumps and lumps showing in certain, more fitted styles, especially when I make knit garments. Looking forward to seeing more of your fearless sewing in 2025!
@LaraSchiffbauer3 күн бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes, that fear of messing up the good fabric is hard to let go of. As far as lumps and bumps, I use some shapewear. Now a days they are much more comfortable than in the past, and I think everyone (young and old) use it now. Is it cheating? I don't think so. It doesn't dramatically change anything, but it just helps smooth things out and I feel more confident with those more form fitting garments. I'm so happy you're going to join us as we SewFearless! Have a very Happy New Year!!❤❤❤

Hi Lara! Thanks for talking to me ❤ I am amazed at how much you can focus on and get done while talking to everyone! I bought a new reproduction of the Betty Crocker Cooky book a month ago after watching Cooking the Books talk about it a few times on her channel 🙂 I am missing sewing since I am out of town this week, but I am enjoying looking at my sewing pattern stash on the patterns app I learned about from Sewing with Grace 🙂 I love your new found confidence ❤

I guess neurodivergency does have some super-powers...😁 I hope you're finding your time with family a blessing. Sometimes just looking at patterns gets us through the lean sewing times. I enjoy just sifting through my patterns and dreaming of different fabrics and things to make. I do believe that itis the Betty Crocker Cookie Book that I have. I only use the Ethel's sugar Cookies recipe, and that page is so dirty!! The rest of the book is pristine. Thanks for watching and always being supportive. You're such a great friend! ❤❤❤

Hi Lara! Love his hood…where have I seen something like that before…🤔 Great job recreating it Lara! I can see the resemblance even more watching the video! So I watched the reaction videos out of order you posted them, and this was the last one I watched. As for only being exposed to Stray Kids thru you, it was super interesting to see their solo songs and then trying to imagine them coming together performing as a group. They are so strong individually!
@LaraSchiffbauer7 күн бұрын
First, thanks for the love on my cape/hood! I actually made the cape before the video came out and didn't mean to recreate it, but when I watched the video I definitely saw the resemblance, too! They are so amazing as a group. There isn't one of them that doesn't bring it, either. They all put their 100% into everything they do, whether individually or together. That's one of the reasons I really want to see them live. I think the energy of being in person would be crazy! There's two more videos, and then we're done. I'm so sad, because I've really enjoyed making them - even if the videos themselves are pretty lacking when it comes to technical video things. I wish I could figure out the sound issues, but my microphone doesn't seem to work any better than the computer michrophone. It's always a learning curve when trying new things, I suppose.... I hope your day has gone well and you were able to exprience some Christmas joy. ♥

Again, I love the androgyny. That first white and grey outfit ie every single thing. Also I dig the mix of languages. The second belt is great! I’ll be thinking about how to recreate that. So good! lol see what I did there😂

lol indeed! 🤣 Yeah, I really like the first outfit, too. Obviously the hooded sweater is right up my alley! I didn't even notice the two belts, I only saw it after Blake pointed it out, and I have to say it's a look worth recreating! Hyunjin has such a great style - like his dancing, it's very individualistic to him. That confidence is inspiring! Thanks for watching and it's so nice to talk again!❤

Hi Lara! I loved watching your smile as you were watching the videos 🙂 Fashion inspiration galore for sure! Thank you for watching, Michelle! I have to say I feel a little exposed, but I did enjoy making this video. Blake and I are going to shoot the next one tomorrow after the livestream... I'm glad you liked the Skz songs! I have difficulty understanding lyrics while they're being sung, so it doesn't bother me at all to have most of the words in Korean. The vocals are just another instrument in the song, for me. I think you'll really like the rest of the songs - especially Changbin's because it's a little harder rock sound. 😁♥

I do plan to react to the rest of the releases, so I hope you will watch and let me know what you think, too. I think I'll get better as I go along, and I do think having my son along will add even more color and fun to the videos. Next video will be this weekend, so I hope you come back! @LaraSchiffbauer13 күн бұрын
Are you referring to Felix, or all of them? I agree the androgynous aesthetic is refreshing. He’s the one I patterned the shirt with zippers on the sleeves after. I think he is wearing the very jacket that I got the inspiration from in their video Walking on Water, if you want to check it out. Thanks again for watching -and leaving two (!) comments!

This is probably a dumb question, but is this considered K Pop?
@LaraSchiffbauer13 күн бұрын
Aw, Nic, Thanks so much for watching!! Not a dumb question at all. Stray kids are K-Pop, so I think the solo songs would be considered k-pop, but even Stray Kids’ songs are unusual, and when they released Hop (this album) they billed it as genre bending and a blending of different musical styles. So, I guess the answer is yes and no? 😂
@aidavillegas805216 күн бұрын
I was trying to say that of course I liked the music! I always sew (and cook, and clean) with their and other K-pop groups music. It makes me so happy. I could see that you wanted to dance and sing so badly.

I sooo love that song! I hope the sound quality wasn't too terrible. I know how to share it so I can hear the music and everyone else can too, now, so next week when I play Red Lights it will sound awesome!! Thanks again so much for coming to the livestream. It really means so much to me.❤

Hi Lara, to be fair Simplicity takes soooo long to send their patterns. I bought some for the early Black Friday sale they had and got my patterns almost 3 weeks later. I also bought V2064 without noticing much yardage it took up, that is a stunning (and comfy depending on the fabric) dress! Your past self chose great patterns for your future self! Ohhh yeah totally agree with the animal print Simplicity 3035, that would look great and elevated. Oh man I would rather do buttonholes over zippers, zippers still scare me. 🫣. Totally feel you about having so many patterns yet so little time!
@LaraSchiffbauer18 күн бұрын
I was very surprised that the patterns arrived as quickly as they did! My past self definitely made some good choices. I think I'm the only person who wants to do zippers!! :D It's so nice to see you today! I hope you have been well!

Lara, this video reminds me of my 1st video on KZbin. I did a New Look pattern haul of patterns that I ordered from Simplicity and I could not remember any of the patterns I ordered!! 🤣🤣I love the Vogue dress V2064 with the thumbhole cuffs. I'm picking up a similar one V1929 tomorrow when I go to Joann's. I almost fell out of my chair when you said 6 yards of fabric! Wow! I need to sew up my lace too. I hope to in the new year. All great pattern pics! I loved the Jazz concert. I never heard Frosty the Snowman quite like that before. So cool! Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to watch your reaction Stray Kids video. OOOOH sounds SO FUN!!!!!!! 🥰😍
@LaraSchiffbauer18 күн бұрын
I'm so glad you liked the jazz! The Frosty arrangement was by Mr. Stelling, the saxophone soloist. He's Blake's teacher and just an amazing saxophonist. Yeah, 6 yards of fabric! It will make a stunning dress, though! I hpe you have a wonderful weekend!
