Hi, Grace! Yeah, I'm trying something new! This first one might be a little rough, but I figure it's good to just start and I'll figure it out as I go along. Otherwise I'll just procrastinate.😄 For tomorrow I plan to start at 12:00est. I know that's right at lunchtime for you, so if you can't make it, it's no problem! I just have about three things scheduled tomorrow and in the morning was really the only time I had. I'm not sure if I'll keep it at the same time in the upcoming weeks, and I personally would prefer a later afternoon time, but for tomorrow that's the time I had available. I plan to let people know by community tab what time I'll schedule the Lives. Thanks about the outfit and my hair. I was happy with how both turned out! See you tomorrow if you can make it!☺

Thank you so much! I was so happy to be able to use the light purple for the project. With changing the shirt pattern and the fabric had a little bit of unusable fabric due to some sort of fading, I was worried I wouldn't. I like the pants a whole lot more than I thought I would! With them sitting a little below the waist I was concerned, but they are really comfortable. I'm glad you thought the colors were a nice match. I'm pretty excited with how it all turned out! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!🙂

I really like your new outfit. I agree with your husband about the matching buttons. It looks like the Target pants were a little wider leg, and I think they also looked great on you. It took me a long time to figure out the importance of measuring the hem circumference. When I finally did, I started measuring it on pants I liked, and I started altering my patterns to recreate that same fullness. If you like your New Look pants pattern, you could always widen or narrow the leg circumference to your preference as long as you add or subtract fabric evenly on the inseam and outer seam. I divide the amount I want to change by fourths and just add or subtract that amount at the hemline on both sides of the front and back pattern pieces tapering to nothing usually around thigh level. You probably know all that but I thought the wider legs did look really good on you, and I thought I would share just in case you didn't know. It has taken me ages to get into the mindset of sewing companion garments. For years I sewed so many garments that didn't pair well with other things in my wardrobe. Those look so lovely together, I hope you get a lot of joy out of wearing them.

No, I actually didn't think about measuring the hem of the pants legs to adjust them, so I really appreciate the suggestion and explanation of how to make those adjustments! I always appreciate the opportunity to learn! It's nice to know you didn't think the initial pants were too full, too. It gives me hope for some of those larger legged pants! And I hear you so loudly about the companion garments! I have such a mix - not matchy wardrobe! I need to start buying fabric to go with other fabrics I already have! I think your outfit looks lovely. When I sew those types of collar, I baste the collar to,the back, but I make a back facing and join it to the front facing. This way it appears to make a cleaner finish.

Darn, Grace! I just noticed that the comment I wrote earlier today didn't go through! I'm sorry! Yes, I'm excited to try something new, if a little nervous. It's all in the name of fun, and I can't think of anything terrible that can happen from learning a new skill on KZbin, right? :D Tomorrow I will be livestreaming at 12:00 est, so if you can't make it, there is not a problem. I have several things going on tomorrow and morning was the only time I had available. I would prefer an afternoon time better, and maybe it will change next week, so it'll be variable for the first couple of weeks, but I hope to get a regular livestream time by the end of August. I did! Thank you for noticing. :D I had some temporary dye and I either needed to throw it away or use it, and since I hate throwing anything away, I decided to use it. I really like it, so I think it might stay this way for a while. 😆
