You make me chuckle, youtube has a video for everything you want to know eg how to easily take pomegarante seeds out 🙂
@hippietoherbieАй бұрын
Everything looked really yummy. Thanks for the ideas! I just cut and seeded 3 pomegranates yesterday. I put a large bowl into my sink and an apron on to protect from splatters of the juice. Cut the pomegranates through the equator, not the stem end. Turn it over and gently pull the sides to flatten one half at a time. Hold the cut side over the fingers of one hand and bang on the skin side with a wooden spoon. The arils will fall into the bowl and pretty much all will come out this way. You do have to pick a few out by hand to get them all. I like this way better than submerging them in water because you don't have super wet arils when you are done and you also don't lose any of the juice. I ended up with a fairly good sized container of arils to use. They also freeze very well. I buy pomegranates when they are in season, seed them and bag them to freeze for use all year. Hope this helps.

Omg what a great idea of a bunkey cookbook!! Okay bunkey had me laughing so hard with the decomposing comment
@Someone-vn9ceАй бұрын
Thanks for more great recipes!!! Your husband was right about how he originally said to get the seeds out of a pomegranate. Cut it in half (not top to bottom, but through the sides) then sort of pull out on the sides of the halves to loosen the seeds some, then turn the halves over and bang them with a wooden spoon. The seeds will fall right out. I love seeing your husband involved with your recipes, you are precious together! It always makes me smile! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Omg Jess, just yesterday I introduced my 3 year old grandson Wyatt to pomegranates. First of all, I watched a woman on Tik Tok explain an “easy” way of taking out the seeds. It was the whole vein method as you explained and she tapped it with the wooden spoon over a bowl. I think I had as much juice on my shirt, counter and walls as there was in the bowl! So no, that’s method didn’t work. Lol! My son in law mentioned buying them in a container and like you, I told him I tried it once and they weren’t the least bit tasty so I guess we’ll just have to seed them the old fashioned way! Theres nothing better then those juicy little red jewels of flavor bursting in your mouth. Yum! Btw, Wyatt ate the entire bowl by himself! Love you guys and Happy Thanksgiving!!
