I miss flying around Michigan. I grew up in the Detroit area and did my flight training out of Oakland Troy Airport (KVLL) in 1981. I moved to Grosse Ile around the time I bought my first airplane and did most of my flying out of Detroit/Grosse Ile (KONZ). Michigan is an absolutely beautiful state to fly around in if you're a pilot.

See Matt? These two flew right over my haunts up here in the mitten state. Featuring kBIV (Holland), Z98 (Zeeland; this is where I 1st met Gryder). They then pretty much tracked due north along US131 corridor. Robin Hood (Big Rapids), kCAD(illac); where the seeds of the flyboy bug were 1st planted in me as a young’n. 😊 Then up into Petoskey. So, when you ask, “what is there to see & do up there?” Ask Ron & Janis, they’re showing you. If & when you do come up, we’ll go do some airport hopping & exploring. We’ll focus in the upper west quadrant of the mitt, Mac island & a little bit of the UP. Pictured Rocks would be nice, but we’ll see. Janis & Ron, I know you guys made this trek shortly after OSH. You should try it during late September thru Mid- Oct sometime. Gorgeous! Thanks for highlighting our turf! 😉 Now, let’s get Matt & Monica up here! Logan too. Great vids!

Hello, What cable do you use to record intercom and ATC communications to your gopro?
@Parr4theCourse11 күн бұрын
We use DJI cameras as we had too many issues with GoPros . . . Here's a link to all of our recording equipment, we also learned the hard way not to depend on a camera to record the audio, as typically people use the one on the windscreen facing towards the pilot/co-pilot and that location tends to make the cameras overheat, if you that camers due to overheating or the files are full, you'll loose audio if you loose the audio you loose the entire video, so we elected to use a standalone digital audio recorder that holds over 60 hours of audio. Although the DJI cameras haven't overheated on us to date. drive.google.com/file/d/11lZ4aqxp42UKKqY0ncqtdRv8Dzh7WdX4/view?usp=drive_link
