If someone has nut allergies do you think using chopped seeds would affect them in the same way?? I want to make a load of oatmeal snack bars for a party, I don't want to use peanut butter because I don't know who has nut allergies so I'll most probably use bananas instead to hold everything together, but I do plan on putting in chocolate chips and dried cranberries so using chopped seeds would be a great idea and I also have mulled hemp seeds too- what do you think? And I i just realized - im going to add in chopped pretzels too!!😋 Oh yeah- and im subscribing! 🤩🤗🩷🍪🌹

Excellent ideas! Do you need to cover the mug in the microwave?
@toastyapron20 сағат бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! I personally have been making these without covering the mug in the microwave, and they've turned out great every time! So it's not necessary in my opinion 😀

can I use the fruits as they are or they must to be frozen before?
@toastyapron20 сағат бұрын
Hi there! It's important for the fruits to be frozen (esp. the banana), as that's what will create the thick, creamy texture - so that's what I would recommend. Hope that helps!

I've made the chocolate baked oats a couple times now, and it's really good. It's not very sweet at all, but the choc chips pull through and even it out. It also doesn't cook all the way through, even after 25 minutes, but I juts eat it like a lava cake.

@happydays1336Күн бұрын
I make mine with a can of full fat coconut milk plus one can full of regular coconut milk. I then blend it with the chia seeds, baking cocoa plus a little bit of sweetener in my VitaMix blender which is very powerful. This grinds up the chia seeds. I don't like the globs of whole chia seeds because they're slimy. If a person doesn't have a powerful blender he or she can pulverize the chia seeds in a small coffee grinder and then add the powder to the coconut milk.

I’m obviously becoming a crotchety old man, because when the narrator says “No equipment recipes”, I immediately thought, “Why can’t people make the first recipes without ‘equipment’? If a machine can’t do the cutting/mincing for you, you can’t get out a knife and cutting board?” At least I’m still self aware enough to 😢catch myself having those thoughts. …Sorry… I need to go yell at some kids to stay off my lawn! 🤣😂

Gotta be honest here, I had my doubts when I saw this and I thought it's one of those vegan recipes that are just hyped up and end up tasting bland or straight up bad, but I just made the base version with even less sweetener (just 0,5 tbsp) and it blew me away how good just that tasted. Now I already got some berries in the fridge waiting to be thrown in for the next time. Thanks for the video, mate!
@toastyapron20 сағат бұрын
That's awesome to hear! I'm so glad you enjoyed the base recipe - it's fantastic as a simple pudding just on its own, or topped off/mixed in with whatever ingredients you like. Thanks so much for sharing and for watching - hope you'll give the other flavours a try as well!

You really repeat yourself so much. It makes these videos feel like a compilation from other videos. Not referencing the previous recipe during the current recipe makes it seem really disjointed. You don't need to say "unsweetened almond milk" 5 times in one video, it seems really forced, almost like the VO was performed by AI. Relax a little and add some personality in like "yes, again some unsweetened almond milk, it's in all of these!" or something like that. It will make your videos a lot more normal.
@markb6978Күн бұрын
I disagree vehemently, him repeating himself is super useful because I can just pick the recipe variant I want and follow along - I don’t have to rewatch the whole video to get the full recipe.

Can you use just water instead of any kind of milk?
@toastyapron20 сағат бұрын
I like a splash of milk for the added creaminess, but a splash of water works fine as well! The extra bit of liquid just helps the frozen fruits blend a bit easier 😀 thanks for watching!

Thank you for sharing. Can I make these and bake them in the oven instead of the microwave? If so, what temperature would I set the oven to and for how long?
@toastyapron20 сағат бұрын
Hey there! Yes you can certainly make these in the oven/toaster oven as well if you prefer, for about 15-25 minutes at 350°F. The duration will depend on your oven, but I'd start with 15 and then do the toothpick test - then add time as needed. Hope that helps - I'd love to hear how they turn out for you!
