Buddha bowls really are my jam: only the gods know why I don't serve them to myself every day ! Your ideas are ACE: you think food like I do, TA - except that you not only think it but do it. I need to get my act together; and that's going to start with your green goddess dressing, followed by buddha bowls. Thanks heaps, mate ! :)

Just found your channel a few days ago and subscribed. Love your “prep ahead” methods. Wondering if you’d think about doing a video of the methods you use to keep these prepped items fresh until use; plastic bags with paper towel for herbs? Glass containers for all? Any you store together? Also, as an idea to make a few bucks, maybe include a link for some of your favorite items, such your salad spinner, small rice cookers, or air fryers, or chef knife, storage containers, etc. Not so much as product review, but just as, “here’s what I use and you can find one like it at this link”. Either way, love your healthy food ideas! 😊

Thank you for the support and for subscribing! That's a fantastic suggestion for a future video, perhaps as its own stand-alone video - will definitely keep that one in mind! And thank you as well for the suggestion on affiliate links - I have considered adding those as well and will definitely look more into that!

Also what knife are you using for prepping the veggies? It looks great!
@toastyapron Жыл бұрын
In this video, I'm using a simple Kiwi Chef's knife (which is technically a Nakiri knife). I really enjoy using it because it's inexpensive and a great bang for buck, with a sharp blade. Hope that helps!

Love the idea of these bowls and the ingredients. There are so many ingredients that can be added to these bowls. Also love the idea of the green goddess dressing. I can customize these for my vegan options with air fried tofu. Personally, I would prefer the veggies cooked to a crunch…not raw🤣 Information on the knife? Great for chopping👍🏾
@toastyapron Жыл бұрын
I totally agree - and good call on the cooked veggies, I do also enjoy roasting them in my air fryer with some olive oil, salt and pepper before adding them to my bowls. As for the knife, it's a Nakiri knife from Kiwi. A very inexpensive yet sharp knife that I use often - I totally recommend them! Thanks for watching!

Did you roast your orange pepper slices in the oven or did you stir-fry them?
@toastyapron Жыл бұрын
For this video I actually just used fresh, raw orange pepper slices - but I often do throw them into my air fryer with some olive oil, salt and pepper (along with a few other veggies at the same time) for a quick roast before assembling my bowl! Thanks for watching!

I'm not fond of quinoa and I would use a little sticky rice instead, which I would use for the carb element. I do like garbanzo beans that I would add too. Great Idea for fast take out type meals that include healthy fats and veggies. In Hawaii, they call these kinds of bowls ,BENTO

This may sound silly.... but do you eat the broccoli raw?
@toastyapron Жыл бұрын
Not silly at all! Sometimes I'll eat them raw (in this video they were shown raw), sometimes I'll roast them in my air fryer, other times I'll boil them for a bit first. Just depends on my mood :) Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

I never keep quinoa in water and it's never bitter. Plus... Cooking only the quinoa almost half an hour isn't exactly a "fast meal". But dude, you lost me with the chicken. My body isn't a graveyard. Thanks but no thanks!
