when/would you program a landmine zercher split squat over a normal db split squat? (as a squat accessory - for a throwing athlete)

Hey dude what do you think of this 2 day template I made as I’m training bjj 5-6x a week and don’t have energy for more than 2 lifting: I was thinking of capping lifting to twice a week as I want to compete lots this year. Essentially I’ll do a ME squat + bench day 1 and DE deadlift + press day 2 then switch it so the next week it’s an ME deadlift + press followed by DE squat + bench. Day 1 - ME Squat 1-5RM ME Bench 1-5RM Flat DB Bench 3x10 Single Arm DB Row 3x10 Biceps + Back Ext 3x15-20 Day 2 - Speed Deadlift 5x5 @ 40% W Bands Speed Press 5x5 @ 40% W Bands DB Incline Press 3x10 Lat Pull-Down 3x10 DB Squat + Abs 3x15-20

I have something slightly different in my conjufate ebook. However the only way for you to know if it's too much is to try it for at least a month.

People think too much that 3-4 hours of training per week is enough to get elite bodies 😂 By myself I realized year after year that if I wanted to get strong and have a very good body, I needed to train at least 7-8 hours per week with consistent effort, year after year. But this isn't "showey" (like Platz said), it isn't fascinating, you cannot say to everyone that in order to get big results you have to work big, everyone looks for a shortcut and is not patient. "We live in a society"

Hey mate what would you say is a good use case for Pendlay Rows? Saw you doing them here. I’m guessing using them for accessory work for sets of 10+ but unsure why you’d use them over a bent row.

Ever since I bought my first sandbag which was a fitness style with the handles, I caught the SB bug! I started to invest a lot of time into using them and eventually worked up to a 200lb strongman bag that I can shoulder. Now I have an iron mind bag loaded to 225 that is kicking my butt to even lift it, but I just gotta keep working at it. There's no other lift to me personally that is more satisfying than lifting a heavy AF sandbag from the ground, to the shoulder, then slamming that MF'er down!

Having done seated forever and recently switching to standing. Biomechanics are more important for overall health. Standing allows muscles to work cohesively which is natural, safer and healthier for your body and joints. Seated limits you. Standing is superior

In real world....we sometimes pick up heavy things with one hand like big buckets, grocerybags....so may be functional strength???
@TheStrengthClassroom5 күн бұрын
A form of functional strength. Look at how my spine is coiled and offset to one side. This builds a shit ton of core strength.

Have you been yellmaxxing? According to a recent study at the Nat'l Library of Medicine: Yelling enhances the peak O2 pulse and VO2 and maintains CO2-exclusion efficiency during high-intensity exercise. It may enable maintaining muscle activation without stronger EMG signals being required during high-intensity exercise.
Haters will hate, due to their own insecurities. And they desperately crave attention. On my own channel I've learned the hard way, that the best way to deal with them is to simply ban them and delete their comments. Awesome channel and having recently discovered sandbags I can honestly say there is simply no single other training tool I've come across including kettlebells, that produces such incredible real world strength and overall satisfaction from using them. Keep up the great vids...subscribed

louie simmons said some of the best dealifters were the finnish loggers...they got strong from cutting down trees and then had to carry/drag them to the rivers...imagine the total body strength and conditioning required to do that through a forrest
@biggsexy0077 күн бұрын
mass moves mass ie 100kg person should be stronger than a 60kg person. its common sense to know when you diet down you will lose some strength. as for heavy awkward objects ie sandbags farmer carries sleds ect they build strength and muscle but they feel very different to barbells and dumbbells hence the awkwardness of the movement. as for the commenter you cant out brians in statues...

The twisting barbell used to be common in track and field especially throwers. Looks way more comfortable with SSB. Great session you are very stable with those camber bar boxes.
