I like the color saturation. It has the same intensity as a single shooter game I once saw. But this game looks more fun.

@@Rebecca-xl1yc Thanks! The 10 bit colors of the action 4 really helped when grading the footage, although the cam was not really in its comfort zone at such low light. It did great though!

I’ve been down this rabbit hole as well and met the same obstacles. It is beyond belief that the R5c gets so little love from canon. The C branding should qualify it to be supported in the camera connect app. The fact that it is about the only new cinema camera that is not supported it just insane. I’m reeealy starting to like Sonys these days.

When cycling, do you think rocksteady or rocksteady plus is best? This would be for daytime video. I want to go to 60 fps. Ok to put shutter speed at 200 with these settings?

I would go with rocksteady, plus is for extensive shakes like running I would say. 1/200 👍

Horizon steady is an option, too. Depends a bit on what you want it to look like.

Reading this makes me so happy... thank you! You can imagine that this was the most fun part of the video. I added it kind of last minute because I thought it would help selling this relatively dry topic. It was actually not that hard: I filmed it handheld on an R8 with the RF 35mm and then added a ton of digital stabilization + speed ramps. I had the iPhone in my left hand, which was playing two screen recordings. The iPad at the end had the first frame of the talking head in KZbin (temporary private upload), and I tracked the frame it in Davinci Resolve and put the actual video on top of it. I changed the colors so that it still looks like filmed from the screen, until it switches to real colors with the pixel glitch transition. I'm glad you liked it :-)

Great content ! i was thinking about all those thing and you makde a video ahah I don't understand why they choose to sabotage the R5c with connectivity and connection cable for gimbals.. i build a remote REC button with the N3, but its just "DIY" style, it should be easy to use

This cable does work. I bought it on ebay. For DJI Ronin SC RSC2 RS2 Camera Stabilizer Control Cable Type C to N3 for R5C

One addition: there is a usb-c to n3 cable that works with the Ronin‘s RSS port, allowing you to start/stop recording from the gimbal: Johannes Dörr great video! You prob want to add the findings from Chaiyaporn Bass Dis. They recently discovered that you can actually control the R5C's rec start/stop functions when using the RS2/3/4 by connecting the R5C's N3 port to the gimbal's RSS port. You need this specific cable below from a company called LinGo Camera shop (seller name on ebay) for it to work. Several R5C owners, including myself, have confirmed that it does indeed work as advertised, which is obviously a game changer as it completely frees up the USB-C port. As it appears, lots of the weird things with accessories (FIZ and DJI for example) that work in photo mode but not in video mode are just related to the firmware (EF lens auto aperture as another example). This camera badly needs a firmware update to address some of this because it is otherwise wonderful.

Thanks! As far as I understood, the C400 has no wifi chip builtin, but the usb-c dongle works, like with the c70. That's still a million times better than having to use the big WFT-R10.

Thanks for sharing your grown-ups Lego build…. Wow the same time this video was out of your cool setup 5,000 dollar set I put together my rig but adding DJI mic and Accsoon Cineview for less than half off that… some of your choices of parts may come across extravagant, but it’s all good as this is your story… I thing you could have included lidar focus within the same budget giving you even more refinement… The solution to your delay is sure is something called DEADBAND… you can change this setting on the gimbal for quicker or slower response times…. Check out Chris Brockhurst “do this for better gamble…’ video for explanation on how to do this…

Thanks for making this video man I'm about to shoot a wedding next week and I was wondering how I can rig my ronin sc with a battery to power my camera so i don't shoot in eco mode because if I'm shooting in eco mode my camera will go to sleep and stop my recording. I do have some questions though for instance how did you mount the battery plate to the rod ?, what size rod is that ?, I notice you said that's a custom piece they made for you but do you have any suggestions or will you put the design out there ? and some of these links they discontinued these parts do you have any updated recommendations to substitute those parts ?

That is a regular 15mm rod with a 1/4 thread at the end, that I screw into the npf battery. You can contact smallrig and ask about the pieces. Also watch my other video about custom camera pieces where I explain the SmallRig DreamRig plan.

I'd say they rebuilt it from scratch, as their designers know the tolerances of their CNC machines and materials better than you.

Let’s not forget that if you push the product and it sells to other KZbinrs, you’re going to get a commission on the sale that’s how the dream rig program works. You push it on KZbin they sell it and you get a commission I do like the piece, though it’s good and it looks effective.

Things like these is why you need a 3d printer. Considering you can get printers for lower than 100$ that print great with minimal tinkering is awesome, that small guide rail would've costed him easily around 20$ or more, where as a 3d printed one would've costed him next to nothing. And if you don't know how to design you can always hire someone off fiverr for 5$

@@johannesdoerr In most cases even PLA is strong enough, but you can use more flexible plastics like petg for bigger parts and they wont break easily even under lots of stress. The guide rail you designed could've been easily printed on a printer and would've been more than strong enough.

This is great! I had no idea Small Rig did this, I’m an engineer and live in Creo and SolidWorks, so knowing they’d take my designs and machine them out simply is great! Way better than using a machine shop charging machining hours.

I realise OA4 was good in low light mode and clear Video exposure rather than OA3 I was a bit dismayed about overheating with OA4 or depends OA3 also overheating but the reality OA4 video quality is good. Any suggestions pls danke nochmal ❤❤❤

Definitely Action 4 because it has a bigger sensor and DLog. Never had overheating with 3 or 4.
