I have a 70 4000 ,with a loader and 3 point, I did what you did completely went through it paint and all , lots of issues along the way You probably noticed not a lot you tube on these old ones , even the tractor mechanics I found don't know that much , the manual is a life saver ,but it came out pretty nice. I replaced my 2 lever rear valve with a 3 to run the rippers on the gannon. I'm wondering if I were to disconnect the ripper and run a line to the front with a quick connect and just disconnect it when I'm not using it? or add to the front , I think is the same, what was the brand you found for that extra valve?

Holy cow, those welds. Thankfully, it doesn't lift anything heavy so a weld failure wouldn't be dangerous....oh wait. yyyyyyyyeah, not buying that one.

Do you have regular snow plow power angle cylinders attached? The kind with only one hydraulic line. Are they connected their own individual remotes? I'm looking to add them to my plow and just run the two lines back to the rear remotes on my tractor and use the lever next to the seat to adjust the angle. Some people have told me that it won't work and will bind up the cylinders.

will it open enough to pick up an IBC tote with the largest opening setting? They should offer a bare steel discounted version at a discount. That would save a bunch of time grinding off powder coat to reweld it.

Hey Daniel, Love your "My Old Tractor" series bud!! I've got a 4500 industrial also that I started to tear into. So many questions but I'll keep it short here... What brand is the low profile wrench you got for hydraulic lines/fittings.? I had to grind and slice a few wrenches to get into some tight areas on the backhoe before I finally removed it for better access. Looking fwd to more vids of your tractor. If you want to bounce idea's for videos, I'm here; Message me! You do such a great job with your video's and fill a big void in the old ford industrial tractor space ;-)

Do you know much about your Ford tractor? I want one just like yours that has a full size backhoe and a three point hitch as well do you know where I can find something like that or is it really rare and you just happen to get lucky! Thanks for any info at all that yoj can give
@danielh47593 жыл бұрын
It is rare! I looked at a bunch on craigslist and did not imagine I would end up with 3-point. Was just interested in the backhoe but now could never buy one without 3-point. I did buy a very cheap parts one also. My advice would be, buy one with 3pt and one with backhoe. You can find them cheap if your patient and haggle. Or, if luck, you find one with both

I own an old Ford 4500 and new to this. could you do a video on how to detach the backhoe attachment and setup the 3 point hitch
@danielh47593 жыл бұрын
I sure can. One tip....I added quick connections to the 3 lines. It took a 30 min process down to 5 min. And eliminated the need for an oil drain pan. Was worth every penny.
@georgiebearpaws3 жыл бұрын
@@danielh4759 That would be great to see a video on detaching the backhoe part. I looked for where the hoses might disconnect on my machine, and I guess if there wasn't quick connections, I would need to put on a "screw on" cap on each hose when disconnecting. I don't know much about 3 point equipment, but would like to learn how to get to most out of my machine, Thanks.

In my limited experience with Titan stuff, it's cheap to buy, but it seems to be made off shore as cheaply as possible which means a lot of reworking it on your own once you get it.

This is a video I stumbled across trying to see if theres videos I'd you can put a crapple on the rear and quick hitch and also if you can get remotes for the front. I have a 1978 3550 ford diesel backhoe I want to add these things to it. I'll use my backhoe for more land clearing than digging or moving dirt I plan on using mine more agriculturally. Nice video

Send that garbage back man. You have put to much into that nice ol ford tractor to have some piece of shit fork attachment to fuck it up by breaking and ripping something else off it.
@danielh47594 жыл бұрын
I got a replacement with .....cough....better welds. In the past year I've had to reinforce just about the entire frame. They have broken at least 10 times. I should probably do a follow up video.

The alignment of the welding done, always needs to be checked before attachment of the device. It may not work at all after being attached.
