Great video! I am a homesteading realtor, as well. I live in SC and am licensed in SC and NC. I have a question for Sophie: Is your Mortgage company licensed to approve loans for properties in SC?

Thank you for sharing your story. I came across your channel through Mike and Lacie's, 'The Fit Farmer'. I think what you and your family are building and achieving together is wonderful. I wish I lived closer but live miles and miles away in fact in the UK and wish I could do what you are both doing, so I enjoy watching channels like yours and live my dream of perhaps one day, perhaps one day. Have a lovely day.

Right now, it's a homesteaders market. Finance it yourself, build it yourself, sleep in a camper, get dirty, live hard. Hey would you two cut me a three ticket deal on the Homesteader meet-up just around the corner? I NEED to meet Billy, William, your family, that fit farmer guy😂, hopefully Jason & Lorraine. Just rambling along at this point, keep up the great content ❤ from Limestone TN👋

Thank you for sharing your hearts. It certainly helps us to hear we are not alone with the unhealthy narcissistic relationships in our family. Setting those boundaries and going forth for what is best for you/us is important. It's not easy but doing what's best.

Thank you so much for this discussion. I am always trying to get more nutrition into my kids diets. They are teens/young adults and I only started on my clean eating journey during Covid. Up to that point, I thought I was eating fairly healthy. I just placed my first order for Pluck.

Thank you for tuning in! I'm so glad that you are finding new ways to get more nutrition into your diets. One step forward every day. Enjoy your order with Pluck! :)

Great conversation! My take away is that from growing food to eating the prepared meal including all the time in between is a very purposeful and spiritual process that we have been denied by our modern grocery store experience. Loved this. It inspires me to make the change from city dweller to homesteading...my original dream and finally getting back on track in my senior years.

I grew up the same way. We got milk out of the bulk tank at a neighboring farm. We had a large garden. Mom canned. We raised chickens for meat and eggs. Everything was made from scratch. Mom was such a great teacher and now I do a lot of the same things. So great to hear other's stories! Thanks for doing this interview, Sophie.

What a great way to grow up and being exposed to this all at a young age! It's definitely something we need to pass on to the next generation. :)

I love everything you said about the homestead influencers! It’s hard to figure out who is actually doing the work and actually knows what’s they are talking about.
@sprinklewithsoil3 ай бұрын
Thanks for listening, Rebecca! It was hard for me to talk about. It's definitely a topic worth discussing, even if it's uncomfortable. You're absolutely right about the curated nature of influencer content. Discernment is key, and trusting your gut is crucial. Marketing, at its best, can be a force for good. But when ethics are lacking, it can be dangerously manipulative.

That is something I would greatly love to have develop on my land. I am 65, my husband is 72 and in poor health. I am running our goat farm by myself. My son lives out of the country and I have a feeling he does not intend to return. It would be awesome to have another pair of hands around here. But we are on SS and there is not much left over to pay for help.
