Hello twitch, and GC. I know I watched this yt video after you streamed on Saturday, so I don’t know if you addressed this issue. At the end of this video you built two floor tiles and two doors to stop your dupes from running across the angry tree. You will need to build one more tile each under the doors to stop the dupes from going under the doors.

On Smearino, couldn't you have moved the elevated roof of the top ranch to the far right. Would have fitted another solar panel. I guess not worth it now :)

You should mention using steel or thermium for building the automation on the rocket launch site, some of my wire and gates got melted.

One thing you missed is that you can stack many lumen stones onto the trees, or abuse natural light on the surface for free, powerless light, and the cost of the limited uptime of the surface isn't too big of a deal because plastic isn't very important to have very high quantities of.

I agree they're not wow factor, but they're very good at tunneling down through unbreathable gas early game. Also if you send one to your teleport asteeroid, they can stay in the suit for many cycles without breathing the "yucky" air.

got this game on sale started without watching anything. I think it's too far for my first colony to turn itself around, but your content has opened a ton of things up for me I was able to fix alot on it an maybe still fix it. my second go will def be way better earned a sub from me an if I catch you on twitch a sub.

On this planetoid (the water one) I made stuffed berry because water and polluted water weren't a problem and phosporite wouldn't be a concern either since I would need the reed fiber for atmosuits anyway so why not use dreckos and kill two birds with one stone. For the gas range I used fertilizer synthesizers, the polluted water and phosporite are already covered and for the dirt I used pips, but with foxes eating bristle berry now you can use them instead which might be better as you already would be farming those.

I really hate to ask but I do love these tutorial bite vids. They ar ehelpful especially the non critter ones. One thing I was curious on though is the deminsions. Do they matter? If so how big cause I have a hard time telling in videos sometimes.

How about one of those open-face infinite storages to put your ocean in temporarily while you build your base?

18:45 the main planet starvation problem occurs because there are 15 dupes and only 12 atmo suits, and the food is outside the main base... build more atmo suit docks or put a freezer with a small quantity of food inside great series, by the way <3

The "Frost Bite" debuff is missing, which will kill dupes just as heat stroke. Don't know yet if the frost immune are also immune against frost bite, but I suppose I'll find out soon...

How do bionic dupes, or boops, handle radiation? Normally dupes pee it out in the bathroom or eat fish. But bionic dupes can't do either-- so what options exist to get rid of it? Does the Gunk Extractor decrease it?

Late, but I use the XOR gate in my meteor defense setup: I have a filter gate set to the opening time of the bunker doors, and a buffer gate set to the closing time. In the steady state, when there are no meteors, both are red, so power is cut off from the bunker doors. There are regolith clearing robo-miners hooked up via NOT gate, but they don't use power when they're not in use. When meteors are first detected, the buffer gate immediately goes green, but the filter gate stays red for 37 seconds. When I XOR them together, this means that power is activated for just 37 seconds and then cut off as soon as the doors are closed. When the meteor shower ends, the filter gate immediately goes red, while the buffer gate stays green for 44 seconds. This means that the power is activated for just 44 seconds and, again, cut off right when the doors are open.

SR latches tend to be used very little as many buildings in the game have built in SR behavior. The high and low values of smart batteries or storages are SR logic

I would actually just do the volcano tamers like any of the metal ones. It's a similar amount of heat being produced with 1 to 3 turbines being needed so just plop the tamer around it

I'm curious how Gassy Moos compare to the new Spigot Seals, since both critters rely on plants that need 10,000lux to grow. It seems like using the "2 layers of lightbulbs" trick from that ranch would make Moos much more attractive than using Sun Lamps or natural Daylight. Especially since you can Overcrowd Gassy Moos without hurting their reproduction, seems like a pretty productive setup. -- I did some testing in Sandbox mode and: - I didn't notice any difference in Lux between 600g and 600kg of Natural Gas in the ranch, so that might bit on the wiki might not be true - You can fit almost enough Gas Grass and lightbulbs for 9 Gassy Moos in a typical 24x9 ranch (17/18 plants), plus milking station, grooming station, gas pump, and critter drop off - They're definitely power positive when using your lightbulb array from the Spigot Seal tutorial. It helps that Chlorine has 10x less SHC than Nectar, so the Aquatuner has very little uptime - The Natural Gas from the Moos is emitted at room temperature, which keeps everything cool! - You can put solar panels above the ranch, just need to leave a 2-tile gap so they can call for more Moos By my math, this setup consumes 425kg of Dirt and 8.5kg of Chlorine, and produces 85kg of Natural Gas, 8,640kcal Meat, and 450kg of Brackene per cycle. The 2 attached Nat Gas generators had a 5-cycle average uptime of 32%, so that 85kg is more like ~50kg of Nat Gas per cycle, which is just a bit less than the average Natural Gas Vent. Overall, very lovely critters and especially helpful for low-dupe colonies since you can automate all your ranches off the Brackene output.

hello, new player here, I don't understand the "tip for filling a steam room", you filled 2 layers of different liquids each, and then what happens? I've not yet unlocked steam turbines so I am not sure how they work rn
