I did some testing on my own base and found that if I submerged the interplanetary launcher under two tiles of liquid nuclear waste it stopped getting the corrosive element damage. Only one tile was not enough. It does not get submerged either. Was a bit more of challenge feeding it rad bolts but got it done using angles instead of having a reflector right over it.
