Perhaps we should change the word Famine to 'Genocide'. Essentially, the Irish Famine was a deliberate export of food produced in Ireland with an aim to annihilate the Irish Catholic farming community and its culture. And once again our ethnic culture is under attack. Great production Keep up the good work Sean Corrigan BL

Nothing like heavy mortars at 12:50 . How did we let such a great military reserve whither and fall away? There was 12,000+ of us serving back in the 90s. Would go a long way to meeting some of the security shortfalls we have now.

As regards Doyne's views on class structures and education for the ''unclean'' masses there is more than a few of his ideological ''bent'' still in existence about the place to day.

I remember Lilliput well. A Mr. PIDGEON ran the whole day and did it very well. I was an Irish Dancer and they had a big Dancing Competition. My Sister was older and enjoyed a quickstep or waltz in the Marquee under the trees.Norah Kearney.

Is that really an army barracks, it just shows what today's Irish army is all about. Very slovenly. I'm very disappointed.

Troops pulled out of there some 12 plus years ago , it's left abandoned and idle, Government were trying to sneak load a illegal migrants from all over parts of the world 🌎, under darkness only recent , sadly they used some Army and defence force resources to set up tents and barrier ect inside .. with or without the personal opinion or stance of the good Irish soldier . And the soldier would not be happy to see their old military installations be defiled and taken over by a load of greezy Muslim African and eastern Middle aged criminals. Totally against the psyche of a soldier's think tank . Government Are that far out of touch with the states people that they don't realise the Irish soldier is an Irish man or woman , who is a volunteer. And very much so for the people of Ireland 🇮🇪.

In 1976 the rest of the world did not know Ireland even existed and in the rest of the country didn't care about these freeloaders, even back then everyone knew they were a bunch of crooks, it was all an act and if you look back how many inquiries and tribunals have we been forced to listen to by rte it shows they are all actors nothing is real ,they have no power and never had and 1916 was another staged show by another bunch of actors, to give you tough guys an illusion of being free .
