Mullingar Day 3 &4 The National Famine Way Commemorative Walk 2024

𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 : Mullingar hosted The National Famine Way Commemorative Walk 2024 in memory of 1490 people of 1847 from Strokestown Park who were forcefully evicted from their land and were walked from Strokestown to Dublin and eventually to Canada .
Two ambassadors were in Mullingar for the event, Canadian Ambassador to Ireland Nancy Smyth and Irish Ambassador to Canada Kevin McGee .
National Famine Way amins to be The Global Irish Famine Way with 15 bronze shoes that were recently shipped to canada for a Famine trail there.
"The Global Irish Famine Way will go across the athlantic to Canada , the Unite States possibley Argentina down to capetown in South Africa and down to Australia .
The Global Irish Famine way aims to be the largest Hertitage Trail in the world with the epicentre here in Mullingar ."

Perhaps we should change the word Famine to 'Genocide'. Essentially, the Irish Famine was a deliberate export of food produced in Ireland with an aim to annihilate the Irish Catholic farming community and its culture.
