That was a very good DEMOnstration of how that iconic sound was created! 😎😎🤘🤘

And now think about the fact that Richard David James did ALL of this with 1990s computer tech. Without a graphics interface. Mostly typing the sound modifications into a console window. Because software sequenzers weren't a thing back then. Which makes his music even more crazy! 😮😮😮😮

I made Techno music in the late 80s and 90s in Frankfurt and those Roland machines were legendary for those unique sounds. Already rare and expensive at that time.

It's so funny that this machine looks more like a 1980's keyboard... 😁🤘

Enjoyed watching the video! While the size of the TR-6S appeals to me, I feel like I'm leaning towards the TR-8S for less menu diving and better hands-on experience. Do you feel like the TR-8S fixes some of the other negatives you came across?

This sound are a Joke . Korg 55 love the Sound Korg MS20, Pro One, Emulator, now The music instruments are a joke. Infantil sounds. Remember in 80s the sounds of instruments for children instrument stores are selling professional instruments that sound like the instruments that children had in the 80s

Brilliant analysis of the beats this band used, i always concentrated on the sounds they used which was a mix of organic and synthetic sounds mixed together on their EMU samplers.

The RD-6 can't play any samples itself, but you could use it to send MIDI to a drum sampler in your DAW.
