hey man, I downloaded the strong app and I'm going to start using it asap, but I miss you talking more about caloric traking, this was so important to me to increase my weight, that's a good one

no ppl is trash. thanks to studies we now know that a greater frequency of training is clearly superior to training a muscle only once a week; so the best choice are either upper/lower 4 times a week or fullbody 3 times a week, RIR 0-2, max 8-10 set in a single session
@Ben-Saunders16 күн бұрын
I did talk about that study in the video and I’m not disagreeing with you but I think for a lot of beginners only training 3 times a week this is one of the best and most popular splits for a reason because it’s enjoyable and it works. If you do a 6 day ppl split your then training each muscle group twice a week but being someone who has tried upper lower and full body in my opinion ppl is the best.

Is a split - chest + triceps, back + biceps, shoulder+ legs good? Thanks
@Ben-Saunders13 күн бұрын
@JarmaraL if your only training 3 days a week than that is decent split if you enjoy it. You could also increase the frequency you train each muscle by doing upper lower upper which could result in more muscle growth

Just found your channel and appreciate the message your tryna put out, a weird question do you think your bench is your best or one of your best movements? Idk if it’s just me but I thought that your bench was just such a huge number compared to other exercises?
@Ben-Saunders21 күн бұрын
Thank you bro that means a lot to me. My bench is by far my best movement because I train and enjoy it a lot more than the squat and deadlift so yes I can almost bench my squat 💀💀
@teamdunedin721321 күн бұрын
@ gotcha I can’t lie I’m the same was just interested seeing as I can match you on some movements but then your bench is 40kg heavier than mine. Guess that shows what happens when you don’t program it for a year
@Ben-Saunders21 күн бұрын
Yeah it was about a year ago when I started benching 3 times a week and my bench has flew up since then. The more you do something the better you’ll get. That is also why some of my other movements have lacked progression because I’ve been prioritising bench but that’s a trade off I can accept
@teamdunedin721321 күн бұрын
@Ben-Saunders fuck me three times a week? Damn props for fitting that in your schedule. Plus your your body weight that’s a crazy lift how soon you do reckon you’ll hit 2x BW bench at some point? Or will you prioritise bodybuilding prep next year?
@Ben-Saunders21 күн бұрын
I train 5 days a week so train bench Monday Wednesday and Friday and that worked really well for me. I do really want to hit that 2x whilst on this bulk but that’s 132kg I don’t think I’ll be able to hit that this year so it may have to wait until after I do a show.

I'd advise slowly widening up your grip. Would definitely allow you to bench more over time and would also alleviate some stress off of the nagging shoulder. Might be a good idea to also add a bit of a higher touch point on the chest while you do that. Difficult to tell if it is needed from this angle though
@Ben-SaundersАй бұрын
Thank you for the tips mate I think I will have to start doing that because I’ve never really changed my grip width since I’ve been benching I’ve always kept it quite narrow. And I think I do bring it too low on the chest. I’ll try this in my next session

I've kind of figured out for myself that when I stop caring about what the end result of an interaction could be, I become so much more confident and able to talk to anyone. I, myself, and probably a bunch of other people have problems with just overthinking what has or could happen and just being more carefree could benefit so many people, myself included.
