Thanks, I freezer the right side part for 1 hr and thrown on the floor in the garage; and the electric dryer got heat again. But I also ordered both parts together for less than $10 from Amazon. I searched for LG dryer parts and you will find the parts. Just clicks inside and it will tell you which models you can use it. I also clean up lots of dust inside the duct and the dryer.

Great info I order Bilstein struts for F Explorer no spring I had order before a set of Monroe complete struts the arrow specified towards engine n ford OEM arrow pointing toward outside if unit is complete you cannot put it backwards because in ford there is a left n a right units yurt change one at a time you can’t be wrong..?? if you take it apart mark on the lower part of strut on same place as the original arrow ( I suppose every manufacturer who makes a complete replacement struts put their arrow on different place for copy rights

Thank you. Nice to know what is actually happening inside. I thought there was actually a mini fuse inside. I've also seen people tap the part on the floor to reset. Doesn't give one alot of confidence, but i guess it works.

I might try to do this. I just acquired a 2013 Explorer XLT and NOT being able to keep turn signals on, unless stopped, is VERY ANNOYING!!! I take a left turn off a 2-lane (1 each direction) 40mph road daily. I'll routinely put my signal on 100ft+ from turn so drivers know to back off should traffic becoming opposite way. I've quickly learned stupid Ford design flaw in that I must be STOPPED for the turn signal to let me push it to keep on. Ugh....

@@VZWSevenFiveFive4334 I’m not familiar with having to stop to keep the signal on. So if you click all the way down or up to “lock in” the signal how long does it last before turning off while going?

@@TheVintageEngineer If I pull down and release I get 3 flashes. When in motion, I cannot go further (left or right) to second detent where flasher stays on. When I stop, I'm able to click into second detent and flasher remains on. Here's one example... slowing down to make a turn I can pull down on signal and hold... keeping flasher going. Right before I come to a stop, it then clicks into "lock in" position and I can let go and flasher remains on. Learning to live with it.... it's a 2013 Explorer XLT.

I have a 2000 Mazda B4000 which when heading uphill will not downshift from O/D to 4th. It just makes a clunk sound and sometimes multiple clunks until I press the stalk button and turn the O/D off, which seems to solve the problem (no more clunks, anyway). Thanks for the advice.

Use the spline roller to push the screen into the groove. Then come back and put the spline in the groove and roll it in. Also, if having difficulty getting the spline to roll into the groove, then fasten one end spline (maybe using a clamp) and pull on the free end of the spline. This will thin it slightly, kind of like stretching a rubber band, and then try rolling it in.

Well that was a lot of fun. I have a 7/8 passthru socket, but my 10mm sockets won't QUITE fit inside, and it was tighter than I expected. Ended up sacrificing a cheap 10mm nutdriver from Menards, removing the handle and using a vice grip.

Thank you! You are a very precise person! It is worth re-lubricating the bearings and not buying new ones. This also means that less electronic waste needs to be processed, which pollutes the environment! I am a 70-year-old electrical engineer, and so are my sons. They often asked me why I deal with repairs, why I don't buy new ones? I explained to them that this also reduces environmental pollution. For example, this is why I don't buy food in plastic packaging, if possible. Let's think about our grandchildren, and future generations!

Good stuff. That's EXACTLY what mine sounds like at 3:40. Normally I go with Motorcraft but Advance Auto has a sale right now, $95 shipped for two Monroe vs $135 for two Motorcraft. Debating if it's worth getting Motorcraft again given they only lasted 90k the first time. Luckily I doused everything with PB Blaster a few weeks ago in preparation for a sway bar link replacement. @@XiraProjects that the entire strut or just a mount? I’m looking on rock auto and they have entire struts assemblies for $133 plus shipping. I’d go that route and forget about doing the struts compressor. Or motorcraft mounts are $67 on amazon.
@XiraProjects
@XiraProjects Ай бұрын
@@TheVintageEngineerJust the mounts. Normally I'd do quickstruts but mine's a Flex EcoBoost -- so the sportier, lowered suspension. My concern was that Monroe makes the same strut for both sport and regular suspension, while Motorcraft differentiates between the two. I like doing retrofits on the Flex (did a multicontour seat and laneassist retrofit), one thing I was hoping to do is swap in the Lincoln MKT dynamic suspension. I already know the AsBuilts, my control arms and body already have bosses for the ride height sensors... I just can't find the dang height sensors on ANY parts diagram, and there's no MKTs at any junkyard near me.

My LG top load unit looks basically same as yours thru the back. Mine passed all the continuity tests and the resistances on the red, blue, yellow wires in this video. The symptoms we're having is it turns on for about 5 seconds then hear a click, then it shuts off and followed by a burning smell. It doesn't do this from a cold start if just on air dry (no heat). Any ideas?

Question: Were the rear tires lifted when doing this test? My truck is not a Ranger but makes a sound like that when i am make a wide slow turn as in a parking lot in drive or reverse and the frequency matches my speed and goes away once I completely stop. During a stop, driving straight or fast turn, there is no sound. If I shift to neutral during the sound on a slow turn, it goes away. Perhaps the torque converter is starting to go out, but im not sure. Also there is a slight buzzing sound at 1200-1400 rpm which might be related.

I'm on my second screen project, and I can say for certain that the aluminum screen is 10x harder to install than the fiberglass. A Menard's sales rep talked my uncle into getting aluminum screen, claiming bugs will eat holes in the fiberglass screen. He didn't know that the aluminum screen requires a smaller spline, and we had a seriously difficult time getting panels installed. We had to go back and buy the correct spline, and it was doable, but still a serious pain, and very difficult to keep square and ripple free. I'm sure there are tricks to working with that material, but I would strongly advise against it, if possible. The screens I'm currently replacing had been in place for 29 years, and has had no problems with bugs. It was failing due to the material dry rotting. I have had pretty good success with starting the spline in the middle of each panel and working towards the ends. I have been using painter's tape to hold the corners, which works okay, but I'm definitely going to try out the scrap spline method. A utility knife hook blade would work better and be safer than his method of cutting the spline ends, as that could easily result in a bad day quickly! Another thing I noticed is that you don't have to worry with getting the screen perfect as you are rolling the spline in. Even with all four sides installed, you can easily adjust small "bubbles" or "ripples" by pulling on the excess a little and roll the spline again. This will pull that area a little tighter, and remove the problem spot. It takes a little bit of trial and error to figure out how much and where to adjust, but will save you a ton of time pulling the spline out and redoing sections multiple times. Hope any of that is helpful. Good luck on your projects and God bless!

@TheVintageEngineer
@TheVintageEngineer 2 ай бұрын
@@StevesAutoNtrucks happened to me years ago actually. You should be able to pull the stud all the way out and put a new one in without everything moving around. But I did drop the pan so I could watch the strut and band to make sure everything was still lined up. While being carefull with all this, make sure you remember to back off the 2 turns after torquing. I was so nervous the first time after replacing the stud that I forgot to back off the over drive band and it welded the overdrive clutch assembly together.
