I always get weirdly nostalgic and moved whilst listening to new game franchise making of stories, it's absurd how much work goes into these projects.

I admit I have not played Demon's Souls or its remake as I have never owned a Playstation (because of that I have not played Bloodborne either). However, the sheer influence it has had on gaming is truly mind-blowing. Without it we would not have not only the SoulsBorne series, but the Souls-like style of games would not exist either. Even games that are not Souls-likes (like Destiny and the Witcher sequels, Shovel Knight, and the new God of War games, to name just a couple) take inspiration from FromSoft's games. Demon's Souls truly changed everything. Which is doubly miraculous considering A. how troubled development was and B. Sony refused to publish the game outside of Japan owing to the negative reception and poor sales in the country.

Warning: possibly negative comment: Firstly I respect and am possibly interested in your project. I want to make the point that Miura didn't start with Berserk, Oda didn't start with One Piece, Linus Torvalds didn't begin with creating Linux, professional athletes don't start in the NBA, artists don't start with the Mona Lisa, they start with drawing squares. I understand the point about making a hard company, but there's always stepping stones. I get that this game project might be what you consider a stepping stone, but it's likely that the first thing you make is going to be bad, and I worry that an initial failure might kill the dream. P.S. You need a Discord and an update video. I would be interested in drawing some fanart and possibly contribute.

Hey man, I know this series of videos is over a year old, but I gotta say from one creator to another, these are fantastic, and I can't fathom how you can put together such quality videos at lenght consistently. I know it must be a lot of hard work. I really enjoyed these videos.

I'm starting to read Berserk now and there's loads of things that I keep getting reminded of. Visually the inside tower that Griffith was held in reminded me of the spiral steps down to the Abyss, albeit they go round the other way. Even comments about no one knowing how far down it goes seems to tie in.

I love this. Subbed. Ds2 was my first, so maybe nostolgia kicks in a bit but i think it was severely kicked in the balls prematurely and never really recovered, i can see where some criticism is welcomed. But if i am being honest, any game as hood as DS is going to have probably not so amazing of a sequel, but if i had to pick ds2 over ds3 , my money is on 2 , as putting 300 + hours into both has shown that level design actually got worse somehow after the sequal and you can argue 2 is more difficult than 3 .... It's really funny hearing the same try hard who are complaining about dark souls to advertisement being centered around difficulty , meanwhile, simultaneously bitching about accessibility because the game is difficult and should be difficult and not accessible.

For years I had heard about how difficult Dark Souls was. I think at that time only the first and second game were released. I always hated when a video game made me angry because it was such an insult. And I always swore I would never play any of FromSoft’s titles. But about a year or so before the release of Eldin Ring, I downloaded BloodBorne. I took my time. Walked, not ran, through its world just waiting for enemies to jump out from around corners. I started getting a feel for it. Grinded for blood echoes because I knew that I was getting closer to a boss. I was nervous, but I beat the blood starved beast on my first attempt. It was absolutely exhilarating. I never beat it, but really grew to love it despite that. So when Eldin Ring released, I saw the collector’s edition for the ps5 and bought it on a whim. And I played it for over 100 hours. Every second of exploration and crushing yet joyful frustration of defeat followed by the elation of beating a tricky boss made me love it more and more. 10 years ago, I wouldn’t be caught dead playing anything like that. But now I’m going through the Demons’ Souls remake and I love every bit of it. Miyazaki deserves all the credit in the world.

Miyazaki created a style of games that became a genre. Not only is he incredible at designing the games but also writing the lore. Dark souls 1 and 3 also Bloodborne in my opinion have the best lore in gaming history. Dont get me wrong other games as well are really good but Miyazaki created something like no other.
