Hi need help on a door that I installed it closes perfectly, but you have to give it a little push to close it. Did I align the hinges wrong?

I have this exact slow fill toilet problem. However, I have a Kohler unit not a Fluidmaster. Will this seal work with the Kohler? Great DIY video! Thanks! 👍👍

Great video, thanks! I replaced my fill assembly, and the toilet bowl only fills about 1/4. Any advice for getting more water into the toilet bowl?

Will that one work with an electric pressure washer?
@rzh34432 сағат бұрын
Yes , did this exact repair to one of my toilets a few years ago. That diaphragm is pretty much the whole operational deal to the Fluidmaster fill valve. Very reliable and a real bargain for the long run.

Better to replace as much of the pipe with stainless steel pipe. Copper pipes develop pinhole leaks eventually due to chemical corrosion.

You didn't use Silicone Sealant? A "Quad" or some sort of other Heavy Duty Sealant? 🤔

what was the average spacing between pavers for smooth strides ? It seems couple inches spacing in the video. I'll be use the cheaper 12x 12 from HD for $1.69 each, 55 ft path..

I like the idea of having the option of one outlet being capable of both being controlled by a switch in one socket, and not in the other simultaneously... But, honestly, I would probably just use it for a lamp...

As a professional pressure washer and also offering this service as well.. it was hard for me to watch seeing the condition of the concrete cleanliness and lines left from a surface cleaner not used right....

In the Northeast there is very little sunlight from October until January. A battery to run your home for those 3 months will be as big as your home and far more expensive. 🤣

Hi, Scott, thank you so very much for this video. Yesterday, I noticed water dripping from the disposal around the wires 😳. I ordered a new Badger 1/2 hp through Amazon which was delivered today. Although I have an appointment with a plumber in two days at a quote of $325 plus tax, I found your video this evening and thought, “of course I can do it!” Less than two hours later, viola, I have a brand new, quiet, dripless disposal in place on my 10-year old Badger 1/3 hp. Your directions were perfect! I had to spend quite a bit of extra time prying off old parts (flange so I could reuse the previous pipe). Again, thank you! From a 68 year old woman.

I just installed a Midea 12,000 BTU unit in my living room. The only reason I got one so big is that it was on sale and was less expensive than the 8,000 and 10,000 BTU units! It is VERY quiet and cooled down the room quickly. I had to use wood block shims since my window is about and inch wider than the max extensions on the side brackets, but I'm pretty handy so that was a minor problem. The only problem was that it was so big that I had to get my son to come over to help me lift it into place. I am 70 yrs old so... I had already installed my other two smaller units (bedroom and kitchen) but this was about the easiest I've ever installed one before (except for the heavy lifting)!

Just bought the same exact ceiling fan from Lowe's and will be attempting to install it using the same old work brace. Really appreciate this video and the level of detail you took the time to go into. This channel and This Old House have really come in handy over the past 3 years of being a new homeowner!

Thanks for your video, it kicked me into buying one despite the price. I was looking for a amp meter for DIY car work and I don't like using multimeter in circuit to check the drain ammount, I pulled the trigger on a Klein CL390. Thank to your video I figured it would be worth the price when I become a homeowner, I can only hope Klein name brand will last a very long time!

I don’t do speed wires …. But the idea that it’s dangerous or not as good is just silly. The only issue is when stripping wire, if you do it wrong and bite into it … the wire might snap/fail when yup work work with it .. But same is true about shepherds hook

I plug an extension cord on a grounded plug. I take cord to wires, with multimeter I Plug neutral into the ground if the extension cord… then I test All the black wires with red/ positive probe of multimeter. Now you know your hot when you get 120v So put red probe on the hit … and touch all the whites with black probe and when you hit 120v you got your lead….

yeah what a nightmare when you open the box and see the rats nest of wires and having to hunt down each and every wire and breaker . electricians can stand to learn how to wire these boxes in order were anyone can see were things go . whats talked about is good but ive only seen one video once of a beatiful well organized breaker box. no one wants to have to hunt down through all the mess just to find what one goes where so they can replace the right breaker
