That is a very nice video thank you. One question: I want to fly in a country that doesn’t have SBAS constellation (like Australia or South America) If I have a light aircraft equipped with GTN 750 that is SBAS GPS (no Baro-VNAV I think) Can I fly a RNAV/VNAV approach ? If yes how is the vertical profile is followed ?

My question is, Krhi vor dme 27 approach, i will be arriving at pepvy(iaf) from south but would like to continue to RHI vor, (rhi vor not iaf) than fly feeder route outbound to DAPAC (if) do procedure turn and come in round for landing, can I do that since RHI is not a aip?

How would you fly Krhi vor approach rwy 27 starting at vor (not iaf) you would have tinget cleared to start not on iaf even though it's a feeder route?

0:50 "You'll stall and those G will go to normal 1 G flight" well that's a fail. In stall, indeed, your G is less than 1.

I find it a little confusing when we mix talking about “WE DO NOT need an alternate if” with clauses from when we say “WE NEED an alternate if" For the first one, “we do not need and alternate if” both conditions need to be met according to the FARs wording, weather is at or above the 1-2-3 rule “AND” the destination airport has an available IAP. On the other side, when “we need an alternate if” only one condition on the negatives needs to be met, weather is below the 1-2-3 rule “OR” the destination airport does not have an IAP available. Same thing, looked at from the other side. What I find confusing is when we say, “weather at least 1-2-3….”OR” your destination does not have an IAP…” , that’s one condition to not require an alternate, and one condition to require an alternate, plus the conjunction or, implies only one must be met.

Would I be correct in saying that the CL moves forward with an increase in AOA due to the disruption of smooth airflow at the trailing edge as we increase AOA?

Answering the question put off in the video: Regarding Best Glide use L/Dmax if no wind, L/Dmax is both Vx and Max E in jets and is still air best range in propellers. Regarding minimum sink aka most glide time, if you have a glide polar, it is the top of the speed vs sink rate graph. If you don’t have it, use 75 percent L/Dmax. For a propeller, your Vx is near this and your min power required hence your Max E is this. Published speeds are max gross speeds though AOAs for best glide and max glide time are constant and useful any weight if known.

L/Dmax is not the same as min power required, it is forward of or right of such on the tangent from origin and, for propellers, Vy will be near it though unrelated to it. Ideal Vy would be at min power but real with inefficiencies pushes it up. Your reference book tells you these. Time 29:20 or so. L/Dmax is not the lowest point on power required.

Can we differentiate between ‘climb’ and ‘zoom’ as well as ‘descent’ and ‘dive’ please. KE-PE relationships are zoom dive ones while CE-PE is climb descent while CE-KE is accel decel. See Medium “Improve your Landings with AOA and Power Techniques.”

Can you use AOA for Vx and/or Vy? If yes, what are the conditions in which you could use AOA for such? It is not as easy as with Max E and Max R as in most altitudes, you can ignore thrust and power requirements while level as you have excess. Remember also in your answer that Vx and Vy meet at ceiling but so too do Max E and Max R.

Sound carries a lot further on a super cold day when the air is still, perhaps because the sound itself is traveling more efficiently.

I think spanwise flow should be showed on leading edge of the wing, that would show in intuition how it works. (and arrows from fuselage should be first: relative wind, spanwise flow on leading edge and chord line of wing connecting tips of spanwise flow and relative wind)
