Not embarrassing at all! I use the 5 senses for self-soothing techniques… Sometimes it cold ice chips (taste); maybe light a candle (sight and sensation); maybe do laundry (touch, smell, sense of warmth, sorting to declutter/organizing); music (sound); or deep house cleaning (all except taste). 💫

Thanks so much Kyle. I’m on my way to feeling safer. Didn’t want to use electrical stimulation because it seems too harsh, but calming down enough to take it slowly is difficult.

I heard you mention cannabis with sleep, but how you're not gonna talk about it in this video. Is there another video that you have done on the subject? Thank you in advance!

Wow, I can identify with those except alcoholism. I was aware of alcohol abuse, so I mostly stayed away from it. I know the harm it causes. I didn’t want to add another difficult situation to my life.

Why does moving the eyes to the side relax/activate the sympathetic nervous system? Why does interlacing your fingers and putting them behind your head help with that too?
@CalmwithKyle
@CalmwithKyle 15 күн бұрын
Good questions. The eye movement is linked to activation of the parasympathetic nervous system. Finger interlacing and placement on the neck is said to re-align a part of your cervical spine which shifts in response to stressful situations.

Hi, For the past few weeks whenever I try to fall asleep my brain wake me up with a reflex and I can’t sleep properly and also can’t yawn may be due to anxiety and tension and I have health anxiety. After one day my father(Who speaks loudly and does think loudly) woke me up suddenly and since then I have this issues and mix with anxiety was getting worse until for past few days I started working out and stop thinking but still can’t sleep as I use to 8-10hrs with no sense of who is calling 😢

what a beautiful sort of “exercise”🥰.. so gently using the resources of our breath that has so much power to heal and release… an automatic response to inhale/exhale, for us that we mostly just don’t even think about but holds so much power and obviously, keeps us “alive”!! Learned so much about this Vegus nerve DrKyle🙌💕… thank you for this! I use my jade roller and organic Rose water to compliment the face portion of this sacred massage routine you have tailored for us here🌹🌹… especially love the ears part! who knew so much release and ease lies there 🤷‍♀️❤️🥳
