Are you realtors? You said you love Prescott history stories, when you responded to me.Heres a little more. M y great grandparents ,the Dearings and Simmons donated the land for the Prescott PIONEER Cemetery. They are buried there ,along with my grandparents and his relatives. On Google the Sharlot Hall Museum has the Dearing park history and an old ranch house picture from Arizona Highways. Also "Homesteading the Dearing ranch" is a recorded presentation by my grandfather, telling stories of his growing up, including shootings and Indian problems. You are probably tired by now of my going on and on. I'm watching your KZbin posts ow with interest.

It’s estimated that >10K Calis are moving here annually, not including WA, OR, TX, CO… The only people wanting them here are real estate agents & businesses. This town used to be so pristine (5-10 years ago) with no trash, homeless, hardly any traffic or crowds; totally different now. I have nothing good to say about HOA's. Ours are governed mostly by snowbirds who don't live here year round. They site you for your flowers and plants trailing a bit over patio walls, and nit pick the people who care about the property and do nothing about the people who don't. They waste $80K a year on Landscape Terrorists who come and chop the shrubs to twigs and blow leaves EACH WEEK, and don't put their budgeted dollars in the places that need it. Fellow snowbird Board Members suggest a raise in the rates each year because they can, and this particular member will patrol the parking lot for residents without stickered cars. But come April-May, they skip town until next Oct-Nov-Geez that's great management. They are all on the take!!

We personally aren’t HOA fans either. Can’t stand them in fact. The big down side with the state as a whole is the love of the HOA model. I can’t personally speak to the care in senior care facilities here as we don’t have any personal experience however I can say that not all rehabilitation centers are bad. In fact we have met many individuals who’s sole reason for moving to Prescott was to go to rehab many have now become business owners, pastors, and even parents. All fought their battles and came out on top and all are contributing members to the community. So I guess I get a little sad do to hear a blanket statement of rehab centers are ruining the community when in fact that isn’t the case.
