We're not obsessed with nostalgia... Everything new and current just sucks. We gravitate to better products, better stories and better experiences from a better time. I'd be less "nostolgic" if our current culture wasn't ass.

alot of things were created using our money though such as the technology in cell phones, they innovated on something capitalism didnt create, same with alot of other technologies and medicines and so on. Our funding to the government gave researchers alot of time to create and improve things. Capitalism is the parasite that came in took that tech and used it for personal gain. Another example would be the internet that was literally created by darpa, gps created by the D.o.D. etc etc. theres an endless amount of examples. i would argue that capitalists are parasites that feed off of genuine human innovation that would happen naturally with funding and time.

Its because this generations are lost... feel lost... and to know the past is to know the present, and form a better future... the past gives you tools for the future and survive... the problem is to get stuck and not realize of this tools.

I don’t see any problems with it. I have a collection of nostalgic videogames and toys that have taken over my house. It’s worth several hundred thousand dollars and I’m ok with that. 😊 I’m happy and people enjoy seeing the crazy items I have.

Being born in 1983 and having lived through the 90's and somehow surviving the covid era yeah i deal with nostalgia everyday. I miss the old cartoons i once used to watch when i was a kid. I miss the anime being on tv that i used to watch. Although I do have dvds of it now. It is a feeling of identity a sense of self you feel like you maybe lost a bit of yourself because you see the stuff being made today that is made cheaper and not made to last. Now I don't say this because of rose colored glasses I say this because stuff made in the 80's and 90's lasted granted some things may not have but most stuff back then did. Heck I still have a Rain slicker that is made from rubber yes real rubber in the 80's when i was a kid . Yes it is a much simpler time. It's a time we do wish we could return to . Yet we can't but we don't know how to quantify that with today. So we try to return to the past to some degree or at least be content with what we have and what we can't have back.

With a bank teller for a couple of years till i worked up the courage to ask her out but she was taken, really fell hard for her. I had to force myself to just leave it be im not a home wrecker never admitted how i felt but i think she knew. Moved forward and i dont really feel the same for her as i did back then.

Every generation does this, for example the Boomers started buying up classic muscle cars from their childhood in ecthey had money and 60's nostalgia was strong in the 90's like how 50's nostalgia was steong in the 80's. Its just easier to talk about this stuff now.

People weren't as aware of negative news when they were a kid so they assume the past was better. Millennials and Gen Z do that over the 90's and 2000's. Boomers also get that way over the 1950's and Trump is playing into that with is "Make America Great Again" campaign which is dangerous as people forget just how lacking in rights that era was.

While I agree with some of the points you raised in the video, I think the average person isn’t trying to “attack” incels for the reasons stated in the comments or video. I think they are worried about them 🔫 up a school. There have been incels who have gone on rampages and so it’s pretty natural of people to fear them as a potential terrorist group. I think they are more worried about these people being a danger to others than potentially offending them. I mean, it’s kinda hard to feel bad for a group that advocates violence and goes into schools and does that 🤷🏻‍♂️

The one thing that capitalism doesn't have is a literal "cap". Do you know why online multiplayer games have caps, or even sometimes single player games having level caps? It's to prevent players from becoming both too OP, and actually provides an "end goal", a final level for the player to achieve. If there is no final goal to achieve, like in modern capitalism, guess what will happen, guess what people will try? Sometimes the simplest solution is also the easiest. Although, taxes are designed in a sense to take some of the money from the people at the up, these people at the top try their best to avoid the taxes which they should be re-introducing into the economy. I think we really need a more stable and resilient financial system which can detect and prevent activity like transferring larges sums of money off-shore to evade taxes. A literal cap might be difficult to enforce, but if it can be done, it might be our best bet to ensure not only a small fraction of the population is level 99, when we are all at level 5, and struggle to survive.

in my case its because i grew in absolute poverty in the worst part of the city, everything i saw on the tv was nothing but a far away dream, so i had to invent my own toys and games with sticks, nails and dirt. now i have a decent income and can´t help but alocate a small fraction of it to buying CD´s beyblades, books, games, etc. i developed a lot of diferent hobbies including watch and pen and sneaker collecting but i cant say no if i am on an errand and i find a beyblade i dont have.

I was born in ‘95, I have no idea what “gen” I am. All I know is that I love the feeling of nostalgia cause it takes me back to a time where I still believed in things like love & happiness. Somewhere along the line, life beat it out of me. So it feels good to be taken back

I was with you until you brought the LGBTQ community into the topic. A people who are so confused about who they are and what only makes this issue you were on so many good points to suddenly become invalidated. These are guys that wear dresses who will not lift weights as opposed to yourself because Johnny is too busy trying to be Jenny. He will be weak in the physical and mental because he knows not what he is or what he is doing. It's ok if a guy doesn't want to lift weights or become tomorrows Arnold Schwarzenegger. The issue is promoting confusion and allowing these people to never have a chance at strength or knowing of who they truly are, doing what the leftist media says what they are and should be. I agree. The old masculine way can be toxic, but supporting those who dress, act, live in a certain way will only assure that this type of person will never see strength and will forever live in a world of weakness and confusion. An obese person is considered a protected class of LGBT identity. You say that someone who is overweight should think about doing something about their weight, but if they are ok with their weight and they identify with the LGBTQ+ community then they will remain obese because they condone this condition as well as promote it. This line of thinking will prevent them from finding strength in good physical health as well as mental health. Think about what you are saying here as this community is human and should be saved from this lifestyle through healthy changes is doomed if it stays in its current state. LGBTQ is not the way to a good mental or physical lifestyle. Find strength.

It's quite simple. It's because the current era is so depressing and boring that we prefer to look back at the things from a different time that are frankly more interesting. This is not a question that requires a 17 minute video to answer.
