Darnold got crushed in both Detroit and against the Rams. You're guaranteed to have a bad day if the O-Line can't protect the QB of a "passing team." OL needs a lot of work both protecting, and on the running game. Jefferson was covered like a blanket in both games. It was like he was running in slow-mo. Viking defense was exhausted by the 4thQ cause the offence was nonexistent in both games. It was like watching a trainwreck. The Vikings were exposed as frauds. O'Connell obviously shares his portion of the blame, but he can't run, block, tackle, cover, or pass for the team, and that was why they lost. They simply couldn't impose their will on either opponent. Or maybe they just never had a will to impose.

What I fear most about the Vikings is exactly what happened this year…I feared less the year we went 3-13 with Les Steckel as coach because the HYPE and the HURT were not as sudden.

Darnold sucked the last 2 games but KOChoke didnt adjust AT ALL. I dont care if the O line sucks, you put in 2 TE's to block and then have 1 fade out for a check down. Thats on the KOChoke.

Darnold was such a great QB for us! Can't wait to see what this team can do next year with better quick pass game and more running. 14! Let's see what a healthy McCarthy can do for us.
