Don’t forget how the defense stepped up at the end of the game. The stop (FG that didn’t make it) AND the interception. Even if the Seahawks make the field goal, still put the Vikings in a position to win. To me the fact it was BOTH parts of the Vikings team that truly shows growth and development. Yesterday was awesome game. I've been a Vikings fan for almost 50 years of my life this is undoubtedly the best team I've ever seen. I hate it when the rest of the nation gets on our bandwagon after going so I noticed for so long. This is our team this is our time. And if my vote counts for anything yes I think we should keep Sam darnold he is undoubtedly that he can handle himself in person situations and in key games. And the connection that I've witnessed between Kevin O'Connell and the whole thing you can just feel the magic and even though I've watched other football games that don't include the Vikings I don't feel the same connection between a coach and their players what we have is something special and because of that this is what has put us in this position. A fan I've always loved my Vikings but now I can say I think they love themselves they love the coach as well as the fans themselves. We are all in this together I'm a Vikings fan Do or Die

I've said it for weeks....Sam Darnold needs the Vikings more than they need him. He is benefitting from coaching, the talent around him, and the system that he is playing in. Darnold will not have the success that he is having with the Vikings going to a sorry team just for the big money. If he and the Vikings can reach a extention that benefits both sides they should sign him to a 2-3 year contract.

I would really love if Sam could hang around. He was hired for a one-year contract and keeping him around would be beyond the Vikings financial capabilities. Yep, you're right about that, the Vikings need to proceed cautiously when deciding whether or not to pursue Sam Darnold. The Vikings have experienced similar seasons with Cunningham, Favre and Keenum. I feel that JJ McCarthy with KOCs system ,training and developing will have a high probability to be better than Darnold.
