pioneer sz2 is out they had a sued oen at long and mqaude bloor toronto onatrio canada for $2100.00 on boxing week did not sell so the may put in hte invatory blow out sale long and mqaude but thier si also a pioneer ddj rzx with 3 7 inch touch screens so do not need to llooka t yor laptop anymore their pioneer ddj rz recckordbox version fo the ddj sz2 and dd jsz thier a ddj szn ddj szs ddj s2n and the new 2018 pioneer ddj 1000 nwith lcd screens in jogwhells so you cna look at wave forms

So what is the actual advantage of expanding your setup like this? With the SX2 you just press a button to control decks 3 and 4 and it's the same thing

Otterbox is trash. I dropped my phone with the box on it, maybe 24" drop to the floor and the screen won't come on it's black.

this video was made in 2016 and the unit was already out 2 years before I purchased it. By now there are plenty of people who have gone through both units as well as KZbin comparison videos.

Thanks for your comparison I'm from Toronto as well and looking to replace my xone 53 which finally broke after 9 years (left side blew), they don't sell or make any xone 53 headphones anymore for anyone looking. I'll be switching to pioneer now sadly; nothing can replace my xone 53s

!!!About distortion and dummy djs!!! You mention that Pioneer is for dummy DJs because you can play until red and it will not distrort, but Denon - yes. But look, where Denon has red lights vs Pioneer :) Denon: red zone >16dB Pioneer: red zone >7dB. those 9dBs mean few times weaker output signal in Pioneer at red zone :) So I agree: Pioneer user is really dummy, because he thinks that his mixer doesn`t distorts vs Denon ..... which is 9db below Denon`s red area.... :D PS: You forgot to mention, that Denon 1700 has it`s fantastic limiter, which works excellent. You can either enable or disable it. I`m a user of many mixers and believe me , in 1700 You cant` even recognize limiter working when pushed hard to limits. And in Denon the limit is at +16dB. Not at 7dB as in Pioneer :D That`s a difference in electronic inside. Denon sounds much better

They both clip at 0dBFS on the outputs when set properly. The Denon just has red then yellow or orange second and the Pioneer has two reds. Neither clips on the master until the top LED, though, if they're set the same. Pioneer lets you pad post-master volume, while the Denon lets you pad pre-master volume and change what max on the volume is. I prefer the Denon method, though the Pioneer is useable at least for padding the DJM for mic feeds. The newer Pioneers I believe also allow you to pad the SPDIF independently, which has basically no purpose to it, since it will still clip prior to the SPDIF if you're in double red. You're right that the Denon limiter is little more sophisticated. I agree the X1700's sound is way beyond the DJM900Nexus, though. It's not even close. You have to go to the MP2015 to get this caliber of sound, with maybe the DB4 trailing both of those a touch. Denon is more musical while the MP2015 is tighter and faster. The Pioneer, though, sounds FAKE and artificial.

Got ya! let me ask you a question. I have both, the SX & SZ. have you notice a difference in volume? some way, I feel like the SZ lacks volume. I have recorder mixes on both and I always feel like I have to push the RECORD volume on Serato Dj up to like 80% when I record with the SZ, what's your take on that?

No, I have EV Live X powered speakers they have alot of head room for volume so I just turn them up a bit more, I never had any issues with not enough volume.
