Cool to see one of my favourite youtubers enjoying Endless Sky! I'm one of the artists/writers :-) Have you played through any of the campaigns? Funny after 8 years of working on ES I don't think I've ever started in the Star Barge -- but debates have raged for almost as many years over how to plug that capturing exploit XD As my role isn't very public-facing, it's neat to see how someone not involved in development likes to play. 29:50 In order to take those passengers, you needed luxury accommodations. 55:33 You can change the name by double-clicking on it in the Ship Info panel. We really should add a button for that...

Hey, Dasky! This is something unrelated to the video, but I was wondering the past few days and I want to ask you about it. Besides of ancient greek culture and architecture, do you know of or have interest in any other ancient peoples and cultures? If so, any chance of a couple videos on them as well? Thank you for your time!

Not particularly. My professional career has been in the Southwestern US around the Ancestral Puebloan. Some folks have expressed interest in seeing something about them, so I may do that.
@jvfg170Күн бұрын
@daskalosBCE That's really cool! I like indigenous history, but I don't know exactly where to look for more information about the subject. I would love to see your research and findings regarding the Puebloans!

Just seeing the into screen. If you havent played Starsector. Do so. It is, handsdown, one of the best space "sims" that will ever be made to production. Its not much of a simulator in any regard except Civilisation. Theres loads of numbers to chew on and even more mods to alter those numbers. Its limited but with those limitations youll never ever have a game that feels the same. Yes some quests and such are copied througout playthrough, what you expect?, but everything else outshines the quests imo(im the best way) Its very similar to this game but imo on a whole different level. If you like star wars/trek youll love Starsector definitely.

Going back to this from your latest Ancient City video and wow have you gotten far in your youtube journey in the last year.

I'd like to see you take a look at the underwater ruins, see what you might be able to glean from them in terms of culture or something like that. Doesn't need to be a whole series, just a single video focusing on you analyzing them or something, I'm not an archeologist, I don't know what you do with stuff like that. But I would find it interesting.
@daskalosBCE3 күн бұрын
Before i decided to do the Ancient City, i was eyeballing some underwater ruins near the museum.

Aaagh! These are just too goood! My impatient arse wish these would come out more frequently but I know that the fact that they don't means that you take the proper time to make them this good, which I love!

Quick question (if I may ask): What are you gonna do with the parts of the hallways that end abruptly? (both either facing another hallway awkwardly or ending at the edge of the city)
@daskalosBCE4 күн бұрын
Looking at them it seems that that's how they were made, so I wont be doing anything to them that adds too much
@Sly-Moose4 күн бұрын
Wow. I wish I had that schematic thing! I was worried you guys would fill in spots that are incorrect because the walls (and especially the gate) can be tricky, but nah. Y'all were thinking 5 parallel universes ahead of me! XD
@Sly-Moose4 күн бұрын
Oh just wanted to say the blue wool near the wooden stuff isn't the only type of blue wool to generate with the structure. Dark blue wool can also be present. Don't know if yours came with that or not.
@robertpopa26284 күн бұрын
Just started wondering if there were pristine versions of these structures hidden in the code. But it would ruin the fun we've had😊

@@daskalosBCE I've just caught up with the last 4 episodes and had them on the background as I worked from home, so I apologize if what I'm about to ask has been answered throughout the vids... do you have/use any similar 3D render/projected/AR tech irl to see how proposed restoring would interact whit what you are left with? Is there some form of equivalent tech that allows this kind of overlay?
@daskalosBCE3 күн бұрын
@MarcoChurchH Excellent question! I don't know of any AR or 3d rendering that we use to see an overlay. However, I am currently working on something :)
@techheadfred3 күн бұрын
@daskalosBCE I think you should be able to do something a bit like this with Litematica and Syncmatica if you make a schematic of the proposed restoration?
@daskalosBCE2 күн бұрын
Oh I understood him to mean in the real world. We will need doing exactly that for this restoration
