Something that might surprise you. In my more than ten years as an archaeologist i have NEVER interacted with a geologist for any archaeological project. There's nothing to collaborate on, unfortunately. Archaeology may shamelessly steal science from geology but they are ultimately two separate disciplines with little crossover (especially where minecraft is concerned)
@TheTurtleyOne4 ай бұрын

I would like an explanation of what is meant by "ethically procured artifacts". I mean, obviously you can't kill endermen for their pearls, but what else does it mean? Would you need to trade for the artifacts? Is there something that you have to do for artifacts found in ruins to be "ethically procured"? I hope you get more into that later in the series.

I think it would be really fun if you also did a little deep dive with a biologist or a marine biologist into the Sniffer and the plants it can dig up or Underwater Temple and its Guardians, respectively. Heck, now with the additions of the Trial Chambers, you could check out them, abandoned mineshafts, desert and jungle temples, sunken wrecks. This could really explode into a wonderful edutainment series!

I was immediately pulled in by the name alone! Can't wait to see you guys discover what The End has to offer-I never thought about how void of life The End seems to be compared to the overworld. So, what do we think of the theory that the Trail Ruins Civilization, Desert Ruins Civilization, Ocean Monument Civilization, Ancient City Civilization, and the Stronghold and Nether Fortress builders are not only *connected*, but are precursors to the Endermen?
@@daskalosBCE It's my understanding that the Trail/Ocean/Desert Civs, and, to a lesser degree, Ancient Cities and the Nether Fortresses all have *startlingly similar* material cultures. Or, at least, significant overlap between them. To the point that early findings of potsherds were accidentally combined across civs. To say nothing of the commonalities between what the layman calls "armor trims". ...Though, I think the strongest evidence is the fact that Tomes of Enchantment recovered from such sites not only appear to be written in a single common language, but that this very same language survives among modern Testificate societies. If they don't share a common origin, it's at least likely that there was a great degree of cross-talk going on, if there's such commonalities in art and language. I'll admit, the jump to Endermen is a most extraordinary claim. But, that we only see gateways to their realm *inside Strongholds* implies some manner of link between the Stronghold Builders and the Endermen.

Yes, most likely. In this case the first time was an accident and since there was no reaction from the society, it was apparently okay. From the game side, the endermen seem to have to reaction to you teleporting with the eyes, so we figured it could be interpreted that the pearls are okay to take
