Hi, I had the same thing happen on that sort of cover, all the little squares fell in and we didn't have a storm! Replaced it with a cover from northern tunnels ok 6 years later.

Sorry to hear about your illness but am glad you are getting back into the plot. Those green poly covers are nothing but a nuisance, so I support your decision to go for a clear cover. The pipe foam stuff will help too. An amazing vlog as always. Still my favourite allotment-tubers!

Just a suggestion: When you replace the covering of your polytunnel wrap your frame pipes with foam tube pipe insulation or foam pool noodles. It will protect the plastic from rubbing against the metal poles. :D kzbin.info0WH6wGm4D1I

That storm caused so much damage, sorry to see your poly tunnel suffered. We are spending this weekend pinning down our greenhouse and installing wind barriers/screens as had a lucky escape from storm damage but may not be so lucky next time. Looking forward to seeing your seed order!

Hi I recently acquired an old polytunnel frame and was excited to get it covered so I looked around for clear plastic covering for poly tunnels and came across a site called vevor and I bought a cover for £44 measuring 32ftx25ft which was more than enough for me to trench the cover over the frame,I built a false door at the rear and functional door at the front I must say you definitely need to get Hot Spot tape to put on the frame before covering,storm darrah totally failed to make an impression on my polytunnel tbh,hope this helps you,happy gardening 😊

Put poly tunnel type on the bars put the old cover back on and put the new cover over it all double skinned poly tunnel
